No I agree, she's sounds much more comfortable in the lower register. It's very hard to sing that high in her chest voice, which is what she's trying to do, or at least it sounds like that. It wouldn't sound that strained if she was in her head voice, that's not hard for women.
true. those notes are best left to head voice. the end with the low notes sounded so sweet, but compare that to the straining at "again", which just sounded...not good.

Soloist started out a bit show tune-y, but made up for it w/ the chest voice belting high F#! I here you chick! I really like this interpretation. It's hard to vocally reproduce the already synthesized sounds in pop music. Great Job! Keep singing and Having Fun!!!

yes they do. It's the ICCA. It is actually an international competition as well as a United States one i believe. There are a lot of the ICCA performances on here.
