A fire here destroyed 60,000 acres and over 200 homes 3 1/2 years ago. Soon our home, made of fire-killed wood milled on the site will be completed. Hooray for re-using trees who have had their lives shortened by fire...and bringing them back as useful objects!

This is awesome, But few people know the work put into something like this. I do the same thing with Alligator Juniper. I just cant figure out how you slabed it so wide in the forest. That had to be over 3 foot. Did you use an Alaskan mill? Where are you located and how wide can you mill a slab? Thanks
