Its just a pity it degenerated into a whole day of boring rugby and now it is just half a day of boring cheap rugby with a shitty film in the middle, when are they going to axe BBC Alba (for the 25 gaelic speaking british people their are) BBC three one of the kids channels and radio Asia and radio 6?
Proper nostalgia. The BBC sport ident letting you know the BBC was a sports world super-power breaking into the comfortable old slippers that was the Grandstand title sequence. Then we had DEs Lynam. Legend!
@firefighterno1 Absolutely spot-on. Furthermore, the BBC remains a sports world super-power and I cannot wait for this years' World Cup and the BBC giving ITV a bloody good hiding.
haha, this music reminds me of lazy Sundays when my mum used to be cooking the Sunday lunch, and I just used to be watching the rallying/golf/tennis on SUnday Grandstand. Cheerz matey.

That's 1991 - the first People's Sunday at Wimbledon, and Ian Woosnam winning the Masters in the Grandstand titles.
