  • okay this video was posted like a month ago but I woke up this morning and a solution FINALLY struck me. Why don't you buy bottled water INSTEAD of juice. You'll be able to drink water to your heart's content AND you'll make a nice saving because juice is expensivvee

  • Tap water is infested with fluoride which is very bad for you..

    Make sure you filter water

  • You hate needles but got a tattoo?

  • I have to drink bottled water in Spain and France the tap water makes me sick...

  • What a load of self obsessed bores you sarcas pricks are

  • @ajb79 I see what you did there.

  • Comment removed

  • just lex........

  • I don't think you are going to the best dentist. LA shouldn't hurt. It should pinch and be a little cold but then be as numb as shit! I hope it went well! Was it an upper or a lower tooth? Can't half tell where I work hey...

  • babe <3

  • i love living in the north of england where i can sit back and drink some tasty tasty water

  • @HiImJoeShields The North has the greatest water. Too bad i'm at Uni in the South and have to drink their garbage.

  • have you tried a filter? and there's always bottled water...

  • Brita filter? we got one as our water was gross for awhile. Made it drinkable.

  • Get a filter?

  • Buy bottled water?

  • I like it when you laugh, you need to laugh more

  • I have a feeling a million people have suggested these, but a water filter or bottled water? Needles are awful, I concur. <3

  • This went up on my birthday - I SWORE you were saying happy birthday to me. So for that, I thank you :D (YOU'RE THE BEST PERSON ON INTRANETS EVER)

  • Get a water filter? The water where we live tastes horrid but the water filter makes it taste normal!

  • We love you Lex, don't forget that :D <3

  • Supposedly, cashews contain an enzyme that kills the bacteria that cause cavities. If you combine that with stuff like flossing regularly and brushing with hydrogen peroxide (after your regular brushing of course), not only will you never get another cavity, but the ones you do have will heal. [I heard it on the internet, so it must be true!]

  • We have hard water here, so to me soft water tastes disgusting, but I've usually got used to it after about a week.

  • Im from australia and every state in the country the water tastes weird and different. When i went to Europe i was screwed and blew money on LOTs of bottled water.....

  • Have you tried one of those filter pitchers?? Filters the water, which also changes the taste. Could be worth a try... Hope the filling went well! Going to the dentist mostly feels like you're just paying a shitload of money to be tortured :-( NOT nice.

  • Buy bottled water?

  • hope your filling went ok :) I have a strong of dentistry so I feel your anger/fear

  • LEX <3

There ARE some of us here who feel sorry for you and who don't want to pick on you <3 I hope all went well and I understand how you might feel this way all the time :O

Everyone else who doesn't get it, PISS THE FUCK OFF because you don't know how it feels to be sick all the time and feel horrible and have a bad day EVERY day :(

Hope you're okay Lex (again, lol)

    -from me :)

  • Get a 12 litre container of bottled water dispenser thing from the supermarket they are fairly inexpensive and worth it I think ! Just annoying to lug home!

  • Why don't you try a water filter? My friend brought one to uni this year and it makes the water taste quite nice.

  • perpetual sulk. try some joy, Lex. :D

  • harden the fuck up

  • do you ever stop whining?

  • I loved the Pandora Box analogy.

  • Get a Brita filter for your tap

  • I hate dentistry too, last time I got a filling the needle hit a nerve in my cheek :'(

  • boil the water first, let it cool down and store the water.

  • Why don't you drink bottled water? I know it's a question of money, but if you can't stand the water down there...maybe a solution to prevent another filling.

  • Just get over the taste of the water. I mean think of how many people in the world don't have water, and you are complaining because the perfectly good, drinkable water that comes out of your tap "doesn't taste good enough."

  • @sophier24 the reason some tap water 'doesn't taste good is because there are chemicals in it. will they kill you? probably not. but no doubt they are bad for you. in a test of tap waters in different states, california's water had prozac in it. vegas' had valium and insect repellent. where i live, there is a high rate of radiation in the water. the local government was hiding it for yrs. also, some people have more sensitive taste buds than others- which makes it taste worse.

  • @sydandtaytum you are talking about the American water supply, this is the UK. The reasons for the different taste in water is just the salt composition. Different mineral salts are present at some level in all water including bottled water. Bad tasting water does not equal harmful water. Also, tap water is rigorously tested and has actually been found to conatian lower levels of harmful chemicals than bottled.

  • @sophier24 yes, our water supply is regularly tested as well, but the trouble is, it doesn't take much to lie on documents about it. (which has been going on where i live, and only recently found out) if water doesn't taste 'right' to me, then i don't want to have it. it's not a snobbery thing- i just trust my body to tell me what i should have. and now that this story is out, i feel vindicated. but u are right about some bottled waters- i've noticed some bottled waters taste horrible as well.

  • @sydandtaytum Chemicals in the water... like the dreaded H2O :P

  • The water's usually softer in the south (i.e. more salt! bad for you!) and it's really good for your skin and stuff but tastes...yeah, icky. water filters are the way to go if you don't want to buy bottled water, but I suppose it wouldn't be cost effective as filters need replacing every few months.

  • @hollium Soft water has less salt, not more, and the salt in the water isn't bad for you.

  • yes and everything seems to hate you, but it is okay... we all love you.

  • I don't like the taste of our water so I get big 6 pack bottles of mineral water from Tesco for like £2.60 and it lasts me all week

  • I can see a lot of people have already said this but, buy a water filter. When I moved from Manchester to Coventry for uni the difference in the water made me feel sick so I spent the whole of my 1st year buying huge 6 ltr bottles from Tesco instead. Eventually I got used to the Midlands water, only to then move to London after graduating. Seems the further South you go the shittier the water tastes. This time I got a filter and it's so much cheaper.

Hope the filling wasn't too bad.

  • get a water filter, they are surprisingly cheap :)

  • Now stop being silly, And go to the dentist.

  • SUGGESTION maybe you could use a britta filter device to filter your water? or maybe just boil it then let it cool down before you drink it?

  • Brita filter or buy bottled water. I love Soton tapwater though :)

  • ALL OF THE THINGS!

  • Buy bottled water instead of juice and stuff, you can get a packet of 6 2 litre bottles from Asda or Tesco or anywhere for like 2 quid! Go get em lex!

  • Buy a Brita water filter! Makes it taste much nicer. Sorry about the filling.

  • Drinking sugary drinks such as juice and squash through a straw limits the amount of contact they have with your teeth, this is what they tell you to do when you have braces :) also the Brita filter jug idea others have mentioned seems quite good.

  • I have never ever had an injection for a filling and I've had some pretty deep ones, you claim to hate injections but you can't really hate them if you think they're better than feeling the filling being done

I only download things I wouldn't go to the cinema or buy the dvd of anyway so they don't miss any sales, before I downloaded films I just watched a lot less films

  • Comment removed

  • If you just drink nothing but the water for a week or two the taste will go away.

  • i liked Pandora's box parallel.

  • I've had a filling, don't worry they're fine :)

  • I love dentistry.

  • i feel for you. i also hate going to the dentist. i gag really easily, and people putting their hands in my mouth and poking at my gums gives me the worst anxiety ever. i sit there and think to myself 'i wanna die, i wanna die' repeatedly.ironically, the pinch of the needle into my gums affects me the least out of the whole experience.it's the taste it leaves in my mouth, the spitting out of bloody water, the sound of scraping of the teeth, and sound of the drill that are the things that bug me.

  • Hope the pain passes quickly. Also what is a TV licence?

  • Britta makes water bottles with filters in them. I love mine. I take it everywhere.

  • how can water taste different?

  • @Oblivaddict In England there's hard and soft water and they taste different. If you've grown up with one type, you usually can't stand the other type. :)

  • @Oblivaddict It depends on where you live. There might be different minerals in the water or something like that.

  • No offence Lex, but y r u always in a bad mood?

  • @wynning25 No, Lex is awesome! She's always happy and perky, but she just saves it for her channel. For some reason Sarcaschicks makes her unhappy... maybe she dislikes sarcasm?

  • Squash is cordial mixed wuth water. Lex have you tried boiling the water leaving it to cool then trying it???! Just a suggestion.

  • What is squash?

  • When I saw this on my feed, I thought it said "perpetual silk" And I was like, now there's an interesting title! And aww, I hate fillings.

  • I like that you were happy at the end to say happy birthday, it was cute

  • can't you just buy bottled water?

  • @winniefreaks when you're paying bills for water which tastes like crap, it's a bit irritating and costly overtime to keep buying bottled water :(

  • meh.

  • aw, you could even cry thats aful

  • tea! it's just water with herbs in it. or just boil the water first, or put lemon in it and keep a pitcher in the fridge, or buy a filter.

  • *sends love*

  • I was tormented by dentistry as a kid, and when I saw Little Shop of Horrors it nearly ruined my young life. You have my sympathies and I hope your water situation is better soon. I definitely think this crappy occurrence is punishment enough for your missed video. Good luck!

  • One time I got a filling and then went back to school, were I had to give an oral report. About Sacajawea. With my mouth numb.

  • i must admit, I wasn't really paying attention to this video, as I was having too much fun using the transcribe audio feature :)

  • Drink the squash through straws. You can literally buy 500 straws in the 99p store.

  • they make reusable water-bottles that have a mini filter built in...

  • God I hate needles. My dentist gave me pills that were supposed to calm me down before I got my first fillings (this was about a month ago). The pills didn't work. I cried. The dentist also numbed where she wasn't drilling so that was fun. I hope you don't freak out like I did!

  • @saraschicks Ok, than you're gonna have to get a filling :)

  • Comment removed

  • @ElliotExplicit Squash is cordial

  • You may be the worst Sarcaschick in terms of posting videos on time, but you definitely gave the best argument about sopa and pipa ;)

  • I'm getting braces in like, 12 days. ):

  • You can use an ion exchange column to exchange the Ca 2+ and Mg 2+ ions that make hard water or " Limescale" in your water. This will make it "soft" water unlike London's water and may taste better depending on preference. However London water is full of good stuff for your bones and flourine to strengthen the enamel on your teeth.

    BANG NERDFIGHTER

  • Poor Lex : (

  • Hope you feel better soon :/

  • I hope your filling went well :3

  • Try getting a water filter, down south we have really chalky water but the filter works a treat for me!

  • "princess diana related later that day" @2:00

man, audio transcription is the best.

  • Ok so is Brad and Liam coming back for Becky and Kim's birthday's?? 'cause that would be AMAZING!!!

  • @Alienstookmyfridge that would be awesome!

  • you can buy a filter to solve the water problem I think, I agree tho southern water is horrid

  • I might be being really thick, but can't you boil the water to make it drinkable? probably not, but hey ho :)-3

  • Open ALL the things! - Pandora's Box.

Anyways, don't worry Lex, Jeanette loves you =)

  • You are my favorite sarcaschick!!

  • Buy water from a shop.

  • You've never been the worst sarcaschick. You and lindsay are number one.

  • You can buy jugs that filter water, brita or something make them

  • Couldn't you buy some of those massive several litre bottles of water from the supermarket?

  • They say it's ruining the music industry, but without all this internet freedom so many musicians (including you) wouldn't be where they are now, most of them would be pretty much unheard of. INTERNET FREEDOM IS GOOD.

London water is the best :)

  • A brita filter or bottle water might work.

  • Mmm that taste of limestone. Us Londoners have the hardest water in the land. Tough as fuck.

  • Definitely read the title as 'Perpetual Skull' .... maybe I should watch a bit less Sherlock. But of course I'm not going to!

    Keep being awesome, Lex!

  • fuck off, a filling. ive got braces and today i went to get them tightened and they randomly told me they were gunna put some more brackets on as well, and the ones at the back are really far up so i cant close my mouth. NONE of my teeth can touch eachother, i cant eat or sleep and my whole face aches. you have no idea how hungry i am :(

  • @sarcaschicks Plus, didn't you just get some money from Next up? Yeah, it goes towards gear, but surely your HEALTH is more important?!

  • @pottergirl18 yes I did receive money from NextUp, which I spent on equipment and put away into savings for future projects. I'm not going to spend hundreds of pounds a year on bottled water out of money that I'm using to further my career. once again your intellectual skills astound me!

  • I feel your pain, I hate the dentists...

  • We love you Lex! Hope you feel better soon :(

  • water filter jug to the rescue?

  • It makes me sad when I go to the dentists. They are SCARY places.

  • Take it from a Geordie who spends loads of time in London, Brita filters are a lifesaver! :D

I watched this two minutes after finding out I'm getting a filling next week and I'm scared of needles too, I'm feeling even more terrified now ...

  • Cheer uo love, it might never happen.

  • I initially read the title as Perpetual Skunk.

I have to admit, that probably would have made for a better video. :/

  • @istealspoons i read perpetual slut :D

  • i think lex's filling is a good enough punishment for missing last week.

  • i feel your pain.. i have an injection in an hour. was supposed to have it as school, but then managed to dodge that one... then my mum told me i had one today and i cried :( I hate everything today too !! <3 And your not the worst, you amazing, dont let anyone tell you otherwise !! <3

  • Yeah we use a britta filter at home and it tastes fine! Even just refrigerating bad water can make it taste better.

  • come to america

  • I just had my first ever filling and it didn't go as bed as I thought it would. Good luck!!

  • get a filter, the water at my house is crap but the filter just makes it taste really good

  • I too utilise Brita filters because the tap water in Belgium is absolute shit.

  • I use a Brita filter and it works beautifully :)

  • Please don't cut your wrists

  • Sugar free squash?

  • this might make you feel better : you look very angelic with that light on you :)

  • I love your videos, Lex. I also love transcribing the audio...

Oh, so you have "laziness on cigarettes analyzing the bus speeches on haiti news"? (0:14)

Yes, I will contact "rick anne", because "jesus hopes it's the one sentence." (0:25)

  • Try add some cordial?

  • Boil the water then run it through a filter. Then just bang it into some bottles to put in the fridge! removes all the impurities and makes it tastes normal. I know it's a hassle but it's better than squash or bottled water!!

  • What about a filter? They have brita pitchers or pur filters here in the US. I love the Pur one you can add right on the faucet so you can fill it.

  • If you can figure out what the taste is you could do something to counter it. Boil it or use a charcoal filter?

  • Yeah, Brita filter, works pretty good. I think you have a right to be miserable, tooth pain can be awful.

  • Boil tap water and then store it in the fridge. Kills all the germs, and taste awesome.

  • @prisslovespopcorn It's not germs, it's chemicals and stuff in the water. Also it's hard water - high mineral content.

  • surely bottled water doesn't cost that much? like, here in austria you can get a huge bottle for 20 cents, i'm sure it can't be much more in the uk either...

  • @Laguna2432 really? thats crazy cheap! here in the uk you can get a 2lt bottle for maybe £2.50 at the cheapest.

  • @jevjev1000 wow that's just crazy... here it's like 1€ max. well, if you don't buy evian or stuff like that, but normal mineral waters.

  • @Laguna2432 yeh well if it's the home brand stuff it can be maybe £1 but that stuff taste yucky :/

  • You should get a Brita filter to solve the water problem. That's what I did when I moved to the South coast for uni, makes the water taste loads more normal!

  • +1 for the Brita filter, there are cheaper shops own branded ones, but if you have a look around a few supermarkets there's usually one that has the Brita unit on offer. Hope the filling wasn't too unpleasant.

  • The audio captions on this video are giggleworthy. Good luck at the dentist!

  • you could try to put those little zero calorie water flavoring in your water? I don't know if that would mask the taste you don't like, though...

  • I hate fillings too. But I take my iPod and just listen to my favorite music. That helps me feel a little better. Much love and sympathy :)

  • I know how you feel - my first filling was such an traumatic experience that I really hate going to the dentist... Piercing and tattoo needles are something completely different of course xD

  • Don't be sad Lex, you'll be okay after your filling is in.. I do feel your pain though :( On the water front, a fridge filter thing is probably the easiest (cheapest) thing to do. I know what you mean, im from central scotland and I cant stand the water in like London or other big cities <3

  • Do you like water with a slice of lemon? That's what i do to disguise the taste, really cheap i just chop it up and keep in fridge. Also i drink link hot water out the kettle, which people always think is weird buuut. Best of all i drink GREEN TEA OH MY GOD IT IS THE BEST THING EVER. And alcohol. lots of alcohooolll

  • if you go to tesco you can get like 2 litres of drinking water for under 10p, you can definitely afford this.

  • Ahh, ran out of space...

*Also it's nice when you are here (when your videos get uploaded) :)

  • You should definitely think about getting a water filter thing, and once it's filtered stick some bottles of it in the fridge. Simples. Or if you're like me you could buy a fridge with a water dispenser and filter built in. I think the first option is probably the easiest and most cost effective though :)

I had a filling two weeks ago, for the very same reason. It wasn't too bad. The cleaning afterwards is the worst bit. Hope it doesn't go too badly for you though.

    Also it's nice when you're

  • I tried the transcript thing and it put "it seems like pandora's box" as "it's a bit like garth brooks"

  • Ugh, fillings are horrible. I understand your water situation. Like, all the water here kind of tastes like swimming pool. So now I am drinking peppermint tea all day long, but that will probably make my teeth go yellow, so that's not the best solution either.

  • Cheer up Lex, things will be OK :)

  • You can get bottles with filter, I use one and it definitely changes the taste. Might be worth a try :)

  • Another MegaVideo site didn't go up. It was actually a phishing website that was meant to put a virus on your computer. Hope you didn't click it!! o.O

  • @HeyItsRilee I did, and I didn't get a virus, so I think we're thinking of different sites.

  • Up north your water is soft down here we're in to water that's well hard

  • The water in my dorm room is terrible too and instead of buying loads of bottled water (WAY too expensive), I got one of those water battles with the filter in the top. I use that to fill my kettle for tea and also just for drinking, it's great.

  • I really like your videos Lex, you remind me of one of my friends and you seem really funny and genuine so don't feel bad :)

I hope your teeth crap wasn't so bad :)

  • I have one of these water bobble bottles.

Its a magical water bottle that filters as you drink. The filters are super easy to replace and they last for ages! Also they're not too expensive :)

  • If you have to drink juice, drink it through a straw. And then rinse your mouth out with [bottled] water (or milk. milk is good). Source: me, who as been a dental assistant for about 5 years, via my sister, a dentist.

  • My dentist made me have a filling just on the whim that it may go bad, in doing that he hit a nerve or something that means I hate cold food now. even ice cream....COME ON..ICE CREAM! FFS.

  • Oh I say like way too much.

  • If I didn't download I wouldn't be buying it anyway like D: I don't have the money, when I do have money I WILL pay to own the things that I like so they can make more things that I like but I'm not going to go around buying things before I see them and wasting my money in the hope that I'll like them.
