  • Your video is a favorite on Paraguay

  • Oil and water are naturally seperated.

  • A Costner realizes corporations own Washington and are not interested in cleaning up after themselves. Cleaning up after themselves costs money. Money that can be paid by the Tax payers.

  • cost is the boss..

  • "Where does the shit go? Up And out"

  • Kevin Costner is an EcoCowboy! **** Visit us at wwwecocowboyscom ****

  • i thought oil and water seprated themselves

  • When the wicked rule, the people mourn. No, the government (Satan worshippers who are holding governmental offices) and the BP corporation (Satan worshippers who are running the company) will not allow something that really works and doesn't cause suffering and destruction. They enjoy causing suffering, poverty, disease and death, especially when they gain wealth and power in the process of causing it. Wake up! We are in a major war on this planet. The Satanists are destroying everything.

  • What an amazing man.

  • 0:01

  • BEHOLD THE PROPHECIES OF YOUR LORD

right after this message from our sponsor

  • good man

  • its nice to see Costner give back to the community and be a responsible citizen...two thumbs up! shows he's not just another Hollywood butthole!

  • ...you guys are fucked!

  • @p0tazzium lol

  • IF IT WORKS, TRY IT....WHY NOT?

  • I admire him for his desire to help the world.

  • @GIROBOTII I do also. And for trying to make a buck, and for the freinds and partners he had that made it. Kevin makes sense. Not found often in Hollywood.

  • Exene Cervenka just released a short western with Kevin Costner in it from 1986! You can download it at baddaymovie proceeds go to Gulf Relief thx Kevin and Exene

  • guy at bottom epic fail 0:31

  • costner and gore and their masseuses are against oil spills. However, nobody seems to be able to actually find any oil in the gulf.Where it go,who dat?

  • search hollycolton

  • I don't know if clean up spill all over sea around earth? haha!

  • Glad to see someone still has a had on their shoulders.

  • Costner's looking old!

  • @thorkyll He could be ill, or extremely tired after working night and day on this project. So your comment is silly.

It looks like some people and BP are dragging their butts and not immediately getting his machine out there. Intsead of looking stupid in that room, they should say "let's not waste another minute. Get those machines out there. It's worth a try,"

  • I've been on the Mississippi beaches all week doing stories. It is all so sad. Hopefully his "ocean of dreams" can help in some way.

  • IF HE BUILDS IT....BP WILL COME

  • Mr Costner if you are listening...Please sell these directly to the public, we will clean it up ourselves.

  • @hoppinglark They are probably sh*t-*ss expensive.

  • Its about time we get a fucking smart Guy in capitol hill

  • THANKYOU Kevin Costner!!!!!!

  • @hockeyfanredwings it doesn't take a genius to contribute something useful or beneficial for the environment and the society. i know Mr Costner is only after the money but let's take that issue aside. it's a good thing to know that there's a possible solution to the problem even if it costs too much rather than no solution at all.

  • BP: For very deep water oil spills you should retrofit Kevin Costner's Ocean Therapy Solution device into U.S. SUBMARINES. We could have a sea full of U.S. submarines cleaning at very deep depths.

  • Glad to see someone liveing in the solution, than stuck in the problem! thankyou Kevin.

  • Nothing new. I operated these seperaters at a packing house. SB80 3-phase centrafuge seperated oil, water and solids. We used extreem heat to help break the solution, here this may not be necessary, the salt will be a real headache, most likely clogging the disk stack in side these machines, as it turns, 5000 RPM it creates heat.

  • I have a plenty Solutions, But i am not cebrita, so BP is not like me. We propose to chemical Spin use machines from professionals (Westfalia, Alfa Laval ...). I can stop the leakage of oil in half an hour, and BP does not want, because I'm not a celebrity. Naked America. If BP has worked with me since the beginning of May, Costner would not cleaned. I know that in America you have to be a famous actor, you might have to deal with civil matters.

  • Reposting, do not contact me. IF you match the requests please email billmarinella@yahoo.com include NAME & CONTACT INFO! Put referred by MELISSA COWAN

  • KEVIN COSTNER TO THE RESCUE!!!

  • Make BP provide a $ 500 debit card for every cleaning crew member. They can spend the money to support restaurants and stores in the area that so badly need it now. Don't let BP get away with the mess they have created. Let's Make'em Pay!

  • Go Kevin Costner! It takes one man to beat one HUGE Company! At least this will hopefully work and this is at LEAST an effort to make it happen! One big time celebrity doing his part with money when most of us couldn't!

  • I haven't research anything about Kevin Costner yet , but to those who belittle actors or actresses doing things that expected only from geniuses, geeks, or Mother Teresa-Alike, this is for you: There are tons of them actors and actresses holds a bachelor Degree.

  • what a dumb fuck

  • If any of you doesn't have anything good to say about this video, don't post anything at all...yeah, of course, you have freedom of speech, but it doesn't mean you can just spew unnecessary remarks to people who's ideas or opinions might save environmental problems or help others in need. I have a high respect those kind of people.

  • A FILTER THAT TAKES THE OIL OUT OF THE WATER.. TOO EXPENSIVE????!!!!!! OMG......

  • @hockeyfanredwings what am implying is you're both dumb but you're dumber than him. naaahhh never mind if you still don't get it

  • good job mr.costner . you put your money where your mouth is .

stand up guy in my book

  • LOL at "week long series"

  • @hockeyfanredwings Look up a woman named Hedy Lemarr. She was a beautiful actress during the 30's-50's. One of the first women to appear in a film nude.

But she was one of the people who invented wireless technology that we still use today. Basically shes the reason we have cellphones and wireless internet

She also developed untraceable communication during World War II

Dont underestimate people based on their career choices. For all you know, Kevin Costner could be a genius. Give it a chance!

  • Why cant they put something over the broken pipe so that it stops spilling into the ocean?

Pinch the pipe shut until we can find a solution. Put a bigger hose around the pipe and direct the oil into a tanker boat or something.. ANYTHING but letting it spill into the ocean

Its ridiculous that the oil is still going into the water.. after all this time

Theyre putting more effort into cleanup than prevention, disgusting people

  • Oil seperators have been arround for many years in different forms. They are used a lot in machine shops seperating oils from coolant.I think it's great Costner is trying to help.BP ordered 32 machines, don't know when they will be up and running,if they are large enough to even make a dent in it.I think BP is more interested in having a famous celebrity doing PR work for them.

  • Put a wedding ring around the pipe because it will stop putting out

  • @bigdinkel Ok now THAT'S FUNNY!

  • @bigdinkel haha, that was actually a good one (no sarcasm) :)

  • what have the American people come to? i mean Kevin shelled out his own damn money to make this to help clean up problems like this and ur saying his machine is shit? hey its better than doing nothing even fi the technology has been around. and i can guarantee u his macihnese works far better than any of the exsisting models made years ago..its plain common sense which many Americans especially on youtube seem to be missing.

  • Just Do IT!!!!

  • WHAT IF IT WORKS...WHAT THEN?..Will you be satisfied?

  • Keven Costner this machine was invented when Jesus was a baby! I was in the Navy in 1985-1989 and on my ship, the U.S.S Harlan County, we used an oil centerfuse machine to separate the oil from water. I worked fine. It used centrifugal technology with high speed disc to separated the less denser oil from water. After every use we had to take the machine apart and clean the disc. I assumed the high ranking oil engineers would have previous knowledge of this technology. Perhaps I am wrong.

  • Why are so many people angry he is going to make money, or that he is marketing it? What makes anyone think that after shelling out that money, which any sane businessman wouldn't. Not having been taken seriously, or factored in as an external cost by the gov't. Why should he give it away, do you think he is mother Theresa. There is no better device for this purpose out there... As far as being a celebrity face of the product, this is a consequence of the stupidity of the American public not him

  • retard obama is a fucking idiot, just nuke it allready!

  • @TheBeeFart hahahaha you know how much MORE damage that would inflict to the gulf? Everyone in Louisiana and the other states down there would have to move North do to fallout. It would create an even bigger problem. On top of that it would create so much controversy and people would start to dislike the government even more and start a rebellion. In the long run, it would just start a chain reaction of even more problems.

  • @hockeyfanredwings even if you say he's only up for teh money well atleast he's got a solution on how to prevent the oil spill from further damaging the environment. unlike you, you spend all day sitting in-front of your computer whining about certain issues as if your bitching can help ditch a single drop of oil from the ocean so obviously you're a Gazillion times more dumber than him so STFU

  • He had 20 million dollars!

  • @hockeyfanredwings Get his message heard? He's offered this machine to many companies in the U.S. and off-shores and they've refused it believing they would never need it. This will be the first time he finally gets to put it to use in a environmental disaster in 17 years.

  • yes yes white power!!

  • Bp is not capable!!!!

  • Now, even Hollywood Actors are doing more then the president.

Now, his idea is not the greatest in the world, but it still is an idea that can work.I give massive props to Costner. He cares.

  • @thearubaron Lol this part says it all... 'redwings'

  • i guess it makes up for that water world movie.

  • @burb72 Nothing can make up for that Water World movie.

  • hey mannnnnnnn.. ur water world day are over...mannnnnnnnn

  • @hockeyfanredwings hockeyfanredwings is just dumb.n a total piece of human shit.

  • I love Kevin Costner.

  • dances with wolves will save us all

  • If you have something to say, Washington and Hollywood are the same. If your good looking, you go to Hollywood. If your not, you go to Washington.

  • thanks kevin... Love you for your grace ... will be sneding prayers to you and the men who are working with you... I would love to help I just dont know how... I live in Canada and have felt very hopeless until now... so thank you and God bless

  • @hockeyfanredwings that's kind of rude.....i've seen tons of videos on youtube that are projecting their ideas to stop this massive leak. What does it hurt to give Costner's idea a shot? It seems legite and he even held a demonstration where he PROVED it separated oil from water....you've got some anger issues your acting like Costner stole your old lady...he's just trying to help!

  • @Pixiechic645 thank you

  • You guys are fucked!

  • @p0tazzium haha i get it

  • @len0808

Smart... because eventually some idiot would have bought it, only to let it slip into the hands of the enemy.

  • Thank you Kevin Costner for being so concerned about "our" environment that you

were far sighted enough to have invested in equipment that could separate oil from water. I am so hoping your machines will save our shores, wildlife and ecological systems.

  • WTF? This was the same technology he used to make drinkable pee in "Waterworld." All kidding aside, thank you, Mr. Costner. Thank you, and God bless you for your tireless efforts despite the narrow-mindedness, and short-sightedness of foolish greedy men.

  • it would be more effective for you to watch the video. the machine that cleans the water is what's needed not the engineer. and if it takes a celebrity to get it done, that's alright with me.

  • YAY!!! Good for Kevin!!!!

  • he didnt bought the patent, he paid them to invent it, 20 milion $ it's a lot. I love him, he is such a wonderful person! At least he cares and he was thinking about it before anyone else

  • Kevin Costner's the man ! lol

  • I like the fact the run off Gas. BP Gas

  • he may have just jumped on some scientific bandwagon, but putting in 20million of his own $ is nothing to scoff at. kudos, mr costner

  • How does this machine work?

We can use bacteria to clean the spill. That would be cheap and good for the environment.

  • Does it matter who created the technology or who advertises it? At this point everyone needs to look at the big picture. THUMBS UP KEVIN COSTER...TRUE HERO TO OUR MOTHER EARTH!

  • All you people knocking Kostner for this can go fuck yourselves with a rusty chainsaw. At least he's trying to produce a solution. What the fuck have you done other than plaster your mindless drivel on to youtube comment boxes?

  • finally bp might have done something right (by ordering these machines) for a change, they keep messing everything up, maybe this will be the sloution to the oil spill crisis!! Thank you Kevin Costner! Smart man..

  • easy big fella! I say solution has been solved and thats the best we can do! GO K.COSTNER and team for thinking of better ways to run this small blue world! his WATERWORLD!

  • Chewbacca! 1:56

  • Wow. So this is what failed actors do.

  • Please watch, My uncle has had the U.S patent on a machine called Circular Hydro-Petroleum seperation filter long before Kevin Costner did !! NO JOKE !! But we are not celebritys, so we have no way compare dto him to get are device out there for the public to see !! Its the SAME MACHINE !!

  • BP has ordered 32 of his machines -- Enough to clean 6 MILLION gallons of water per DAY !!

  • I guess something good came out of Waterworld afterall.

  • what cant kevin costner do part time body guard he's learned to dance with wolves and sometimes hes a postman

  • Kevin's brother actually made the device. He just gave him and his team the funding to continue their research and produce a machine which, could actually help. I just heard this on the radio today. Water world known for being bad enough to watch. thank you Kevin.

  • @CHRISTENSEN12345 Costner's isn't up to Coast Guard code. There are many REAL oil/water separation techs. These aren't new. Costner would have you believe he was the innovator. Genoil's is best. It took this tragedy and a big name actor for the public to know about these technologies.

  • Bravo Kevin and all those who have worked to engineer and build this possible solution!!

So where is even a single "prototype" of ANY solution from ANY of the BIGGEST oil companies on the planet? HUH? <crickets><crickets><crickets> The deafening silence of such ingenuity from BIG OIL exemplifies the height of ARROGANCE by them. Nuclear power, are you watching and learning anything from this?

  • I think its strange he had this built and spent so much money doing it--very strange??? Who thinks like that--do we have that many spills?-Really?

But they do need a big vacumn type machine to get this oil off the water...those chemicals are pushing it to the bottom of the ocean??--Thats not the answer--making it worse?

  • Comment removed

  • Kevin put his money where his heart was .... BP should be thanking him in bucket fulls .. of separated oil ... NOW !!!!!!!

..and folks, the Age of Oil Is OVER. Too primitive for such a (so-called) advanced civilization.

  • This is a joke. Far better oil/water separator by Genoil. Go to Genoil.ca

  • @fairalways fudge ur canadian company

  • @horstizzle Why? Do you know anything about these technologies? I do. I've been an investor for over 8 years. Costner's separator doesn't meet Coast guard standards. There are many better separators, Genoil's being best (smallest footprint, most efficient, scalable).

If you've something contributory to say, please do. otherwise you're not helping.

  • Make a 60' by 21" screw and thread it in that pipe. Spread the news: screw the Gulf oil hole!

  • @theothertroll - you're right, because your input is obviously more productive. what are you waiting for? get the hay out troll..

  • @nyrz - Google it, it's even on YouTube you stupid ass-fuck - Pull your head out your ass, then wash the shit off so I can slap your stupid fuck-face. Get informed moron.

  • @theothertroll dude stfu all u repugs know how to do is whine about nothing make up lies and polute shit and start wars just stfu

  • @socommercenary - Google it, it's even on YouTube you stupid ass-fuck - Pull your head out your ass, then wash the shit off so I can slap your stupid fuck face. Get informed moron.

  • @theothertroll dude you said the same shit to like three other people and what is it exactly u want me to google u moron your so stupid u cant retain information ahole just stfu its obvious u dont watch the news or keep up with current events so just stfu

  • @theothertroll lol. You're gonna get enough hay to cover the whole gulf? Then you're gonna pick up that huge volume of hay how?

  • @soccerguy2433 - Google it, it's even on YouTube you stupid ass-fuck - Pull your head out your ass, then wash the shit off so I can slap your stupid-fuck face. Get informed moron.

  • @theothertroll lol. They hay worked in a fucking bowl... its easy to cover a bowl with hay. Good luck spreading and then picking up hay spread across the whole gulf. Animals might eat the hay .... Just cause there's a video of something on youtube doesn't make it PRACTICAL.

  • @theothertroll What do you do with all the hay after it mops up all the oil? Costner's unit will at least make the oil available to use after word!

  • @CurtisMishleau - yea a lot of good that pump does in a limited numbers, and would take months to do the job - the oil is still gushing and the Gulf needs cleaning up like YESTERDAY! Oil just hit the Mississippi coast today; And the toxic chemical dispersants used by BP pretty much eliminates any use of the oil in any major ways. BTW - Hay is proven, natural (green), safe and in abundance. The Gov and BP are just stupid.

  • 32 machines are not enough..... how many are in operation??.... it doesn't seem like they are really trying to do anything about it

  • @alexanderd75 BP executives are looking at jail time? Where yours eveidence of this? Any link?

  • @alexanderd75 I agree. It's ridiculous

  • but what about stopping it?

  • LOL this technology existed how long? so do Americans not care they look more apathetic and stupid each day that goes by?

  • @alexanderd75 Clearly you didn't understand my comment... This filter does not STOP the oil from spilling! It filters the water from what HAS been spilled! I'm not contradicting these ideas it's just they have to figure out how to stop the SPILLING before you can clean up properly? Is that not logic enough for you?

  • He funded the research, he did not "buy the patent:".

  • after a long think tank of some of my peers we came down with 2 possible solutions:

Drain the ocean and use duct tape. or

take all the dead babies and stick them in the hole.

  • U dumb americans get suckered into a product by a celebrity, he even said everybody knew about this product and they didn't use it because it's too expensive and probably not as effective as other cheaper methods. This is y bankers can steal ur money so easily because americans get easily manipulated and ur politician is corrupt as hell.

  • Hmm everyone is talking about cleaning up the spill but no-one knows how to stop the spilling so filtering it won't do much right now considering there's consistent oil spillage. Interesting idea for cleanup though, looks like it will help a lot with cleanup afterwards.

  • Why are we not mass producing thousands of these? Where are all the boatloads of hay? I want to see skimmers lined up like the invasion of Normandy.. why isn't the government taking this seriously?

  • Why the fuck are we not mass producing thousands of these? Where are the boat loads of of hay? I want to see skimmers lined up like the invasion of Normandy.. it is like no one is taking charge or taking this seriously

  • i dont think kevin costner realizes how much oil there actually is...they would need 10,000 of these in the water and some way to change the filters every minuit

  • All I need is Kevin Costnet, Wild Turkey and Vicodin. Google it.

  • well done Mr. Costner

  • complacent fuckwits. Stop arguing and ACT! It's all good and well to sit around and bitch about who's fault it is and how it could have been avoided, but unless you've got a time machine- your not helping.

    ACT.

  • Wow, all the so called Petroleum experts, engineers, academics, Fed MMS who was supposed to worry about these things which none of em did. As Mr Costner said it was an attitude of apathy. Who comes out with a machine that could clean the Gulf of Mexico? A hollywood actor.

Heads should roll because of the sheer incompetance displayed by all those involved.

  • @valhala56

I salute you for your most excellent comment.

  • unless it sucks twice as much as is coming out it is worthless.if it is not stopped( & it wont be)we are done. money money money money MONEY

  • So they have know about this for quite awhile. I guess we would rather build bridges to nowhere, airports that cost in the millions for Murtha and a few friends, parties for Pelosi and friends...etc., etc., etc.... oh and giving millions to illegal aliens, instead of buying these machines that would have prevented this tragedy...

Thank you Kevin Costner, I believe you are a good man.

  • @firecongress You forgot the $800 Billion the Bush White house gave to the Banks. I could see how something like that would slip your feeble mind.

If bush has spent a 1/10 of the Tarp on a Product like Kevin Costners Centerfuge they we would have been a lot better off. But no Greedy Wall Street needed it more then the beings living in the Gulf of Mexico. To hell whith them.

  • haha i work on cruise ships as an engineer. We have oily water seperators that can clean the oil better(less PPM) and quicker (larger volume/hr). search *Alfa Laval Purifyer Oily water.

  • sure, throw a giant blender into the ocean. real genius way to "protect" the environment (but not the animals in it)

  • If this thing works, the government can invest any taxes I pay in building and using this machine. That's my vote.

  • The funny thing about this machine that the "ACTOR" Kevin Costner is trying to sell was designed/invented by his brother Dan Costner.

  • It figures that no one listened to him when he first created the machine. That is just so like this human society. And even now with all the evidence out in the open that it works, the question remains....will BP and the government use Costner's technology to the fullest? If they don't then it will appear that they actually wanted the disaster to occur in the first place as the conspiracy theorists suggest.

  • He built it so hopefully they'll come......hahaha it is pretty awesoem of him though

  • No matter if its the celebrity trying to sell it or the engineer who invented it, the fact of the matter is we need to use this technology NOW! who cares how much it costs because right now the world is paying the price not the taxpayers.

  • Kevin Costner is the man of the year with oil sale at half price. This is the way to go!

  • Costner might be the greatest man on earth.

  • it would be more effective to produce the engineer who invented the system, not the celebrity who bought the patent.

  • @dcjhrj Unfortunately celebrities too often have more access to the media. Would CSB have carried this story if it was just "Joe Scientist" testifying today. Cosner has put millions of dollars of his own money into this - also something available to some celebs, and not most research scientists. I applaud Mr. Cosner's determination and can only hope that our lame government will get on board with this solution or we will only be able to draw the conclusin made by #

    davidcmather

  • @songbyrd5 you're right ..i was being snide

  • @dcjhrj No worries! Thanks for the reply. Let's just hope that the government listens and takes action so we don't have to continue to be the victims of what is really looking like an intentional event by BP. There was a report today about the plan they had in place faking data and citing experts who were dead even before the report was published!

  • @dcjhrj

I believe it was Kevin's brother (a scientist) and a team of scientists who made the system to work on this scale. Now sure how it's constructed, but I say slap a couple Tesla Turbines into the next batch of machines and really move some volume.

  • @dcjhrj The engineer who developed it is actually his brother. That is why he invested in it during the Valdez spill.

  • @dcjhrj it was not one engineer u fukn dumass.. the man invested in developing it.. it wasn't made allready

  • @dcjhrj The invention might not have been made had it not been for the funding provided by this person who just so happens to be a celebrity. Does IBM or HP or any of the major technology companies highlight their R&D staff?

  • @lg123xyz No they do not and that is part of what is wrong with the balance in the monetary system. the question is do we keep accepting that as a fact of life, or do we seek to change those unfair conditions?

  • @dcjhrj: I don't give a damn who comes up with the solution as long as a solution is found.

  • @dcjhrj NO the person with the money to make it is more important.

  • @dcjhrj : Look - I know you mean well, but this is how industry works... The man who developed the patent received payment for that patent, and then the person who bought the patent invested a vast amount of money to develop it further... He owns the company and pushed forward development of the machines, so why shouldn't he get out there and sell it!?
