  • hi darkelite........i just installed monlam bodying 3 in my window7...but i dont know now to type.....e.g in english typing we have qwert yuiop[] asdfg hjkl;' zxcvb nm,./

so is there any tibetan language typing lesson for beginners? if you could you give me the site... it'll be so helpful and i appreciate little help...thanks.....have a good day

  • Wow I just learned Tibetan and your Tibetan is very good! Well done! ;)

  • You say Subject object verb, but then you said, verb always begins the sentence, actually you were right, verb comes at the end of the sentence!

Same things as windows on the Mac, one can change the input character language in the computer settings, I have mine on Thai and Tibetan, very easy to do!

  • Hey, buddy... do Manchu.

  • Hi. I also started to learn Tibetan by myself. Got some materials and learned the script. I am very interested to learn to speak as well.

  • Nga Bhöpa nangshin gyab gö.

Very careful if you just say that. It can cause misunderstanding.

  • Tashi Delek! Greetings in Tibetan - in literal translation (Good Luck),

Great Job! I am so impressed. Thank you so much for the interest and your support for the Tibetans. You are a true inspiration to the Tibetan youngster and the Non Tibetans trying to learn Tibetan.

Galir Shuk! or in English "Bye"

  • hahaha that was so cute. Keep working at it, you're doing great. You know how to write my name..."Tashi" hehe

  • HI, i'm tibetan but i never learned how to write it, i'd really appreciate if you could help me or point me to how u learned it

    thanks a lot

  • Thanks for this. Would love to learn more words from you.

  • great job, keep it up man.

  • Can you tell me where to download the Tibetan keyboard? BTY you are really doing a great job. Keep it up! =)

  • hi, recently i was trying to learn my Tibetan well. But No teacher's here to teach me. So I was wonder how did you learn the Tibetan? Did you have any teacher there to teach you? Also, the reason i want to learn is because of my religion. I wanna have well communicate or maybe simple to talk to the lama. so can you share some information with me (about the Tibetan)? Really thank you so much. by Monica (I'm Taiwanese.)

  • hey again....

The word about ' I want to speak like tibetan' has a spelling mistake. Put 'Nga' after 'Na' instead of 'Ma', and put 'Bha' before 'Sha' instead of 'Dha'. It then becomes 'Nga Bhoepa Nangshin Gyap-goe'

    Good luck!!!

  • Hey... TASHI DELEK!

I am a tibetan. Just want to say you are really great yeah. Great job! I guess you love tibet. Keep it up and god bless you. byeee n thanks a ton!

    Thuk-Che-Chai...

  • tashi-del-leh,

hey dude, its amazing that u can write and speak tibetan language i been a tibetan am not able to speak or write but i have great interest in learning my language and search a lot in internet ,i hope that u gonna help me in learning the language.

  • WOW....You were awesome regardless of your accent, I could actually understand what you're saying~! GREAT JOB=]

  • P.S- The keyboard idea was SUPERB.

  • hehe cute

  • hello

  • it's veryuseful for introductory study. good teaching!

  • why do you say 'tie-biten'? Everybody I've heard says 'ti-betan'.

  • I have installed Ubuntu a Debian distribution of the Linux Kernel which is FREE! I then you need to download the libraries for Tibetan via the command line application, Terminal via a Sudo command...and there is some more tweaking. For instructions look at Wikiversity Topic:Tibetan. Cheers!

  • where r u studying the language?

  • right now i'm studying by myself with a another american friend. we got all the book and audio resources, but it's been difficult finding native tibetan speakers willing to help us.

  • @DarkElite100 u'r foreign accent makes it sound like cantonese. lol...good try anyway. also tibetan isn't as rare as you think it is. there are millions of ppl in india, tibet, nepal, bhutan and in tibetan communities around the world who speak it. my tip to u would be not to over-pronounce the words. i used to that when i studied french in school.

  • Tashi Delek

Where can get the Tibetanscrifpt Software you use?

  • well if you can buy windows vista...you will already have the software loaded on your computer. all you have to do is turn it on. if you have windows vista, i can show you. tu jay chay.

  • Hallo I have already Window Vista !

I am waiting for instruction ;)

But how did you learn the orthographie ?

    It is not easy :(

  • i sent you instructions for activating the tibetan keyboard...

i also forgot to mention one thing in it...and that you will have to memorize where the characters are. but i have made a keyboard legend bitmap for that if you'd like to have me send you a copy via e-mail.

  • @DarkElite100 hey, great video! im teaching myself tibetan too, although i've got the head start of knowing some hindi... by the way, if u have a recent version of mac (i think i have 10.5.8), u get a tibetan script package for free!

  • Great ! but I still didn't learn Tibetan xD

  • Hey, post this video as a response in my Tibetan video.
