How to adjust a visor on an Arai helmet

well thats sorted out my badly fitting visor and sodding wind noise I've suffered the last 2 yrs hahahaha well happy. Readjusted my side plates and looking forward to a quieter ride.

I've got an arai rx7 corsair, wouldn't buy another one. What a poxy design that is! Someone must have sat down long and hard and thought "I know let's make changing this visor and difficult and as fiddly as we can. What's wrong with the system on the AGV? Much simpler than Arai's. Back to AGV for me!

OMG you whip that visor on and off like a grand master ! im sat here with a £600 helmet and i cant even change the visor ! wow they make it hard....hammer anyone ?

@MiniVtec1600 you'll get there in the end, just takes practice. I bought mine and broke the holder set before I had even worn it!!!! Now it's a piece of pish as I know how it works and have learnt the knack of it.

what about other helmet brands? i cant afford an arai right now. but all of them have replaceable base plates where the visors mount, so can those also be adjusted or is it only arais and high end brands?

I never even knew this was possible. Didnt realize my visor wasnt sealed properly. Now Ive adjusted per these great instructions and can't wait to see if there is any noticable wind/noise difference.

i heard that people's NEW arai rx-7 were noisy.

Once they adjusted it ...as shown in the video, the helmet became quiet

Does anyone know how much that part costs more or less? (the one with the red clips) I removed the visor to change it and somehow when fitting it back in (which isn't so easy!!!) I broke that part.

Fack! I tried to adjust my viper gt and the only thing i succeeded in is having a 2mm on the left side! Seems that the left baseplate cannot be pushed further away! It's actually worst than it ever was before.

I can't believe you're sliding the helmet all over the table. Pu the towel down to do all cleaning repair or whatever to your helmet. some won't pay attention that they're table has dirt and can easily scratch the finish.
