Aparently the Gba couldn't handle the Snes Music, so they decided to do the OST from scratch and also throw random dkc remixes in there.

I honestly think the SNES music fits the levels better than the music they put in the GBA version.

if you play both versions, you'll notice that the GBA version slowed down gameplay dramatically, along with removing the acceleration your receive when rolling into multiple enemies

Of course, the GBA donkey kong country 3 was not meant to be played in an emulator: playing the first DKC in an original GBA was much better than in its "SNES" limited form.

Surprisingly I thought the GBA port was better. The music was better, there was more content and better controls. The other two ports of DKC 1 and 2 I can't say the same for, the SNES dominated those two titles.

The only thing I liked about the GBA port was Pacifica, just imagine if they had that world in the SNES version with the better graphics/music.

both games are good with respect to one another. The only reason why the GBA version may seem better to some is because they had 5-6 years to think of what bonuses to add. I grew up with DKC, DKC 2, AND DKC 3 and I'm glad that someone is taking the time to upload all the games that rocked my childhood

i wish people would stop comparing them i like both versions sure the snes version is better but you can take gba version with you where ever you go and yje reason they changed the music is because in the snes the music notes were to low the gba couldnt handle the music so they needed a new soundtrack.

GBA version is better in almost every respect: the color is better, I like the music more, the characters have more animations and SFX... but the resolution is much better and more fluid on the snes.

snes is allot better why. the music is awesome and why couldnt they put the snes music in the gba version??because rare was with microsoft and wouldnt allow it. i say microsoft buys out nintendo so we all can have a good donkey kong country like the snes ones.

@donkeyykong It's not because of this. It's because David Wise didn't compose the music for the Snes version, then he wanted to compose for the GBA version...

I love this game. I never played it untill 2 years ago. I always prefer the Snes over the GBA but i like the GBA music better. Maybe cause it was the 1st GBA game i got.

@Nicksolo85 Apparently there were problems with some of the music tracks in the first two DKCs, so for the third game they created a completely new soundtrack tailored to the GBA's sound chip. I prefer the SNES music myself.

the snes is waaayy better. better graphics,music,sounds. Why is the cave so freaking big at the beggining? people must be retarded not to spot it. In the snes version you had to actually fly over there and by random coincedence "bump" into it. They just proved that earlier generation gamers had more skill and talent then newer gamers today. Nah! Retro games are better than the newer ones. Except for classics such as Zelda and Mario. But today there are so many new games that try to be good but they can't. I mean 50 cent(who sucks) has his own game. WHY? 'cos he's rich. And his games suck. Donkey Kong will be good forever

the GBA ver. Has some xtra mini games...

I think that something can be imitated(like me "anti clon"lol)but can never be as good as the original. DKC broke the record for grafix it played smooth, was fun, and was one hell of an eye candy to.

-only needs a better 2p mode but everything else about it is spectacular
