@xSeDxReaper no, i haven't. as you can see, they've got rough edges, meaning they were rushed through to make. it's no different than wood carving which i have done a lot of.  the only thing you would need is to acquire blocks of ice, which would be minimal cost.

these drums look cool, but using regular heads is nothing special using those same heads on any drum would give you same sound but different resonance.

so yea, eye candy only, as far as sound it's nothing special since you can strap same heads on anything and beat it.

That small block being lifted @ 0:28 is at least 8*8dm. It is also at least 1dm thick. If that block was made of water, that would mean a minimum weight of 64kg. Considering ice has got different density, it would have a minimum weight of approx 50kg.

Good luck lifting 50kg of slippery ice. ;)

A good basis for something bigger.

With all the preparation involved, it would've been better served as part of an installation, involving lights, ambient accompaniment, jet heaters, radiators, fire, playing the resulting slush with brushes, then tapping out rhythms in the puddles which would eventually evaporate into clouds of steam. Birth, life, & death - the full circle. ;-)
