This movie sucked, pure and simple. The most disturbing part was the beginning with the dog being skinned alive. But the rest of the movie was just terrible. Bad script, bad pacing, not scary, the CGI in the scene with the lady getting her head beat in was bad. I'm sure there will be a sequel though.

This wasn't as bad as people say it was. For a movie made in 05-06 and adapted to be in the late 70's, was actually decent IMO. The seen where the killer was beating the lady with a hammer was graphic, disgusting, and brilliant. It is in fact not a masterpiece but it was sure better than Scream 4.

I watched this movie last night and I was just disgusted! That scene of the baby starving to death...as a mother of a 2 year old girl, I almost started crying. the movie is actually based on a true story. in Seattle, 1972, three prison guards in a low-security prison constantly raped and tortured a convict until he hung himself. the three guards, whom were initially nonviolent and harmless, were sentenced to 1-2 years in prison, after a failed attempt to wrap it up as regular suicide. I am not sure how this is related to the story of the film, where a man survives the electric chair, but i do know that Uwe Boll made this quote and gave this info.

I honestly don't know why so many people are hating on this movie. I know Uwe Boll usually makes crap but it wasn't the case with this film. It was a pretty good movie. The atmosphere was grim and dark, it had offensive scenes ( of which one was very unnecessary) and some of the kills were inventive and jaw-droppingly cruel.
