For a man who appears to have extensive knowledge in his field, (or at least presents what he does know very well) it's a shame he doesn't practice what he preaches, and if he does..his methods are clearly flawed! many may say this is irrelevant as he's a coach and have a "do as I do, not as I say" attitude, but personally I think in the fitness industry how can you be credible when overweight? as Bruce Lee once said..."knowing is not enough, we must apply"

yeah I know what supersetting in a circuit is, and they are chippers not shippers, my point is that he says "we don't work abs direct we stableize our MF midline" yet he has had abdominal direct work from sit-ups and leg raise exercises on his main site wod multiple times a week for many weeks in the past month. Therefore his "we don't" premise seems odd. "We don't train abs direct, now go do your GHD situps!"
funny thing that they "stablize midsection but no direct work cause GHD situps or kneew to elbow have been on the WOD's 2 times a week for a while now, are those not direct abdominal isolation work?
Within Crossfit we program singles, doublets, triplets, shippers etc. Within that programming we will use metcon, strength, and gymnastic movements. If you see L pull ups, pullups, knees to bar or elbows, handstands are part of the gymnastic elements.
@Sardious on the contrary, GHD sit-ups and knees to elbow's, or toes to bar are not direct abdominal isolation at all. They are multi-joint, compound movements bringing into play the abbs but also: hip flexors, the psoas, spinal erectors (believe it or not) amongst many others based on the movement. However, it doesn't really matter, all that matter's is that they are a good tool to in strengthening the midline (core). Even better tools for this are, deadlifts, overhead squats, Jerks... ect.
what about calves?

Hey guys, Glassman has had a nasty abdominal injury and never really recovered. Instead he builds a movement which revolutionizes fitness training.

@bowleskevin Lose enough weight and EVERYONE has abs. Visible abdominal muscles are not indicative of functional strength.
