what kind of rubbing eraser thingy do you use?? i'm in an art class and they told me to get a kneaded eraser, and it doesn't do crap!! If you could tell me what kind you use, I'd totally be happy :)

I use an eraser intended for a Graphic Artist and a kind of pencil eraser - you can find them in a stationers its a long eraser inside a plastic casing. Putty rubbers are ok but they can make a mess so I prefer to use alternatives. You need to shop around until you find the best one for you. (I also use a tissue to blend which you can probably see in this drawing)

When you drew the outline of David I was like "ehh... not even close" but then later when you were able to come back and make it look exactly like him just with shading and such, my mouth dropped open. Awesome job! You are very talented. And the time lapse vid was really cool.

I use a selection of ordinary Sketching Pencils and Graphite sticks (which are basically pencils with all lead and no wood bit). I don't use charcoal because I find it too messy!
