@bobqualye1 U can't possibly have this music in a vinyl from 76 cause it came out in 81, it probably was played for the first time in 79 but released couple years later... so... you probably grew up on pot... which is cool too.
i remember walking into a club in the mid 80s and they were playing this and i was like "wtf?" only it was the 80s so it was "What the fuck" not "wtf", i guess...
As a college radio dj, I remember pulling out the vinyl, and on it was taped a BAD REVIEW! Someone then taped on a rejoinder, something like, WTF? This is a fucking brilliant slab! Where is your head? Played it, over and over, in the middle of the night, with hopefully one lone soul listening on the the other end of the ether.
One of the most important albums in my life. I heard this for the first time in 1981, when I was ten years old. It's amazing and still sounds as fresh as the day it was released.
@NikErgo i´ve discovered it at the early 90ies. this album is so fucking cool, i love to listen to it, pure magic, totally advanced .... just great :)
One of the most seminal albums of the 80s, thank you for sharing. If you add the copyright copy like you do below the vid, is it legit? I post vids here and sometimes they get nixed because of the soundtrack. I don't make any money with this, it's all about spreading the word.
@LAtoyboy Is disseminating music on youtube 'fair use?' I don't know if it's been tested but in any event, the Copyright Act 1976 has jurisdiction in England and Wales only. Since this upload is available to anyone in any jurisdiction worldwide, the copyright holders can bring an action wherever suits them. So to answer your question: no. Also, that the uploader makes no money is irrelevant; it's whether the copyright holders lose money. Just saying it as it is.

Unfortunately I stopped following David Byrne after the talking heads.
Fortunately I have rediscovered this incredible talent!

I enjoyed Psiklon's review of this where it was stated :""A brilliant sampling phenomena, a remarkable feat of sonic engineering!""
