Fred had some nerve aswell how he used to used to go up chimneys on those ladders took some bottle , there is no way on earth I would go up there .

He was a legend. Sadly missed. A true working class gentleman. Had the pleasure of meeting him at Leeds steam Fair, and chatted for ages. Such a warm & friendly bloke. The world is a sadder place without 'Saint Frederick of Bolton'

I got in touch with Sheila Dibnah on Ebay,as she sometimes auctions things for the memorial fund .We made a donation to the fund and looked round his yard.It was brilliant just a shame he wasn't there to explain things in his unique way!.
