As a Chinese person, I think China should drop its grievings against Japan and learn from the Japanese warrior ways so that one day when war inevitably occurs between the US and China, China can fight with the same bravery that the Japanese did. @91Tribual Civilians are natural casualties of war. The Soviets and Germans killed way more civilians than the U.S. ever did. Germans not only had the Holocaust but they killed Russian and Polish civilians as well and killed British civilians with V1 and V2 rockets. The Soviets lost roughly 13 million civilians mostly due to the Germans. The Soviets had a hell of a time exacting revenge on German civilians in Berlin.

Yes the Russians stopped the Nazis in the east but they had help. It was the USA that provided much of the wartime food and supplies to Britian and Russia through the Lend Lease Act. Also because the Allies were fighting the Germans in the west and Africa the Nazis could only use half their military strength in the Russian campaign. It was the British and American heavy bombers that penetrated deep into Germany to disrupt its infrastructure and war making capacity.

Midway wasn't where they lost the planes, its where we sunk all 4 of their carriers. We got the planes at The Great Marianas Turkey Shoot, which is why they called it that.

@jrpeters5 Draft is soooo expensive and there is no effect in war as for a professional soldiers. I was in draft. 50 draft soldiers = 1 commandos. But, i support that every man MUST go to army, especially those pussies of rich people,metrosexuals and other fags. Obliterating military might work in a well off nation somewhere in western Europe, where people are so comfortable that the thought of hiding in a forest with a machine gun, waiting to ambush foreign troops is ridiculous and unfathomable. When you obliterate the military in any country that has high poverty and poor education, you inevitably see immediate insurgency. Yes the Russians stopped the Nazis in the east but they had help. It was the USA that provided much of the wartime food and supplies to Britian and Russia through the Lend Lease Act. Also because the Allies were fighting the Germans in the west and Africa the Nazis could only use half their military strength in the Russian campaign. It was the British and American heavy bombers that penetrated deep into Germany to disrupt its infrastructure and war making capacity.

@KittehOwnification Depends, if they were Green then they were Army pilots. If they were white then they were Navy pilots. Navy pilots where better trained the Army ones but after the Battle of Midway, lots of the Japanese Navy's planes were gone.

@jrpeters5 About right. Navy planes were light grey, army planes were dark hunter green, and light grey underneath, except for the A5M6 Zero, all of those were army green. Midway wasn't where they lost the planes, its where we sunk all 4 of their carriers. We got the planes at The Great Marianas Turkey Shoot, which is why they called it that.

Newsreel films added sound effects in when they edited it for movies, there aren't any films with sound of that I know of. Cameras with sound recording were for studios, huge and static.

Secondly, one of the most important events that led to WWII is the crash of 1929.
U.S.A. was lucky because Roosevelt was the first president elected after the crash, while Germany was unlucky because Hitler became chancellor. ( In May '28 election, Hilter had only 2.6 % while 2 years later , he had over 18%)

When Italy saw that, Ethiopia was attacked in October 1935. When Hitler realised that Italy had also no kind of embargo from other countries, Gemany annexed Austria in 1938 and the nightmare started .
By the way, Germany could not have started the war without the German–Soviet Commercial Agreement of 1939
