  • HOW CAN I WATCH THIS ONLINE????

  • This makes me angry

  • @TheRedCoke Why? The grace of God is for everyone. If you deny God's love to people id ask if you are truly a christian.

  • @gilbert4321

The grace of God...... it's the people on earth, the ones telling children with cancer about the pits of hell (being raped and eating for all eternity) i condemn myself there to save all my loved ones and not even the most evil deserves something eternal.

    GODS MAD

  • @TheRedCoke I'm not to sure what your trying to say. Sounds like your a victim of propaganda. The media only covers the crazy people screaming about hell but it never covers the loving people who give to the poor and help people through hardship.

  • @gilbert4321

Non religious people help others? you can have the same peace, so what does religion bring to the table? war and depression?

this is reality....... and I will reject heaven for hell (for eternity) I hope lucifers whores rape me while I look into darkness haha

  • @TheRedCoke Hell isn't ruled by satan and demons. Revelation clearlys says that Jesus and his angels rule over hell poring their wrath and punishment over it. At the current moment hell is empty to our knowledge because the bible says in the fall satan and his demons were cast to earth not hell. During judgement day the fallen angels and satan are judged with us.

  • @gilbert4321

and where did you get this information from? Oh the devils book...... oh well I guess the 'angels' can rape and torment me and eat my flesh with razor sharp teeth.

I can't wait any longer for my death to swim in the lake of fire and practice my lap times...... beauty of my after life.... considering I was in utopia before this life on planet earth (Then again, planet earth is roamed by so many devils) What can I say..... I once was crucified upside down 4 stealin aragoth breath

  • @TheRedCoke satan isn't omni present he can only be in one place of the world at a time and is bound to spiritual form and can't manifest as a physical earth being. He commands the fallen angels that followed him during the rebellion against God in heaven where he tried to fight God for his throne but failed terribly. Only 1/3rd of the angels in heaven fell so satan is still out numbered and no one has greater power than the creator because we are all creations. satan is the father of lies

  • @gilbert4321 cool story

I guess hell seems a cool place

  • i have ministered at angola prison. i can't wait to watch this whole movie. EVERY christian should minister in a prison.

  • this project of desiring God is great..really wasted lifes right there..and in around the globe....let's espread the word of God in the prisions !!!EVERYWHERE...

let's run to the Holy Spirit of God to strenght us to do that !

  • Very moving. John Piper...LEGEND.

  • @achavez78 indeeed

  • Wow.

  • I can't wait to see it!

  • John Piper’s oft-repeated appeal to us is “Don’t waste your life,” which completely ignores his own teachings that it was God who chose whose lives would be wasted.

  • Comment removed

  • @Thinkinginstead

Okay, you have misunderstood his teachings. John Piper does not ignore the tension between man's responsibility and divine sovereignty. Piper understands and submits to the divine tension of Scripture. You should change your name to Assuminginstead.

  • @nsxanders You are certainly welcome to your opinion my friend. However, if you were to study Piper's own Calvinist doctrines, and compare them to what he actually preaches, you would find that he continually contradicts himself. In this video he speaks to the prisoners as if they have the free will to choose to follow Christ, when His own doctrines teach nothing of the kind. The "divine tension" is nothing more than your refusal to admit that God cannot be sovereign if man is responsible.

  • @Thinkinginstead John Piper preaches the gospel as we are all commanded to do. The reason this doesn't contradict Calvinism is because John Piper is not God! He doesn't know who God has predestined and who He hasn't, and so why would he pick and choose who to tell the truth to?

  • @EmeraldPictures By telling the non-elect (or the elect for that matter) that they have a "choice" is lying. It's as simple as that.

  • @Thinkinginstead Well, that'd be pretty simple if we knew who the elect were and who aren't. Our job isn't to make that judgement, our job (as commanded by God) is to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth. Our job isn't to save people. If God chooses to open their eyes to the truth, then they were obviously one of the elect.

  • @EmeraldPictures Wouldn’t it be a lot easier if you knew who the non-elect were? At lease then you wouldn’t have to waste your “love” and efforts on those whom God hates and will not save anyway.

  • Depends if you think we are called to love because it's a duty or because it's our very nature.

  • @EmeraldPictures And just WHAT is the gospel? That God MIGHT love you?

News hardly gets any "better" than that.

  • @Thinkinginstead The non-elect do have a choice - a very real, actual choice. And they really will be held responsible for their choice. If they choose to shun God, then that's an actual choice they made and they have to live up to it. But if they choose to accept God, that's a real, actual choice that they made and we plead with them to make it - but through all this, we still acknowledge that God is sovereign. For that is what Scriptures testify - God is sovereign; man is responsible.

  • @clayhutchins If you claim to be a Calvinist, and are making these statements, then you haven't actually studied your own doctrines.

  • @Thinkinginstead Nope, I hold to all 5 points. (Actually, I'm a 7 point Calvinist!) I just believe that God is really sovereign and man is really responsible. We all believe that.

  • @clayhutchins "God is really sovereign and man is really responsible."

Calvinism (completely in line with scripture) states that God decides who will be given faith. Therefore it is GOD who is responsible for the non-elect not believing... NOT themselves. You want to make God sovereign in salvation but at the same time blame man for his own damnation. I know that you refuse to see it, but that is an outright contradiction.

  • @Thinkinginstead If you had read the verses I told you to read, you'd see that the Bible doesn't see any contradiction between the notion of human responsibility and God's sovereignty.

  • @clayhutchins "For that is what Scriptures testify - God is sovereign; man is responsible."

No, that is what the "traditions of men" testify. As it is an impossibility that God is sovereign AND man is responsible it is your INTERPRETATION of scripture that is in error. You are promoting RELIGION, and RELIGION always claims that God responds to man. The Bible, however, declares that man responds to God. Big difference.

  • @Thinkinginstead The doctrine of Calvinism when it comes to salvation is that God loves everyone, Christ's death was sufficient for everyone, but man is totally depraved and is not capable of seeking after God or repenting without the drawing of the Holy Spirit.

  • @EmeraldPictures With no disrespect intended, to claim that "God loves everyone" but will not save everyone is pure contradiction and serves only to demonstrate a lack of thought on your part. If God truly loved everyone He would draw everyone, but as you so capably have said in repeating the doctrines of Calvinism: HE WILL NOT. Therefore, HE DOES NOT love everyone... at least according to Calvinism.

  • @Thinkinginstead Wait a second (this is in reply to your reply to Emerald) - Do you think God loves everyone? Well, then why doesn't God save everyone? Both the Arminian and the Calvinist say that God upholds something higher than not letting anyone perish - the Arminian says human free will, the Calvinist says the fulness of his glory in mercy and wrath. So there's no contradiction with us saying God loves all, but people still go to hell anymore than there is with you saying that.

  • @clayhutchins "Well, then why doesn't God save everyone?"

He will... you just don't believe it.

  • @Thinkinginstead OOHH.. so you're a universalist. So, nevermind any of my Scriptural arguments I put forth in my other comment, because you don't have a very high esteem of them. Wow. Okay. I thought I was just talking to an Arminian.. but universal salvation.. that's heresy.

  • @clayhutchins "Okay. I thought I was just talking to an Arminian.. but universal salvation.. that's heresy."

One man's heresy is another man's precious truth. "Heresy" is a totally useless word, for we are all "heretics" to someone else's beliefs. Am I supposed to be offended or just frightened by your name calling? Well, my friend I am neither. You are both ignorant and deceived, and like my Father in heaven I forgive you for both.

    Peace to you.

  • @clayhutchins "OOHH.. so you're a universalist."

That would be correct. But according to your own Calvinist doctrines that is GOD'S choice not to make me as smart as you apparently are, or to give me the faith that He gave you Clay. So I guess it's His fault after all.

  • @Thinkinginstead It's your choice and God hands you over to it (Romans 1:18-32). I'm sorry man, but you talk about doctrine coming from man and not the word of God.. it is my prayer that God would lavish his grace on you and allow you to see how far you are off. I can't undoubtedly say you're not saved, but I am definitely afraid for you! Please, dude. Don't bring philosophical ideas TO Scripture, rather, get them FROM Scripture - and all of it. Even 2 Thess 1:9 and John 3:36.

  • @clayhutchins "It's your choice and God hands you over to it (Romans 1:18-32)... it is my prayer that God would lavish his grace on you and allow you to see how far you are off. I can't undoubtedly say you're not saved, but I am definitely afraid for you!"

This is a complete contradiction of your own doctrines which state that God has already predestined all of us for either heaven or hell. Your prayers are worthless now, and your fears change nothing.

    Think about it.

  • @Thinkinginstead What if God ordained that he would save you through my prayer? YOU think about it. And what if God's not sovereign, and man is sovereign over salvation? In that case - why pray? God can't do anything, it's all up to that guy! You have yet to understand that I believe what the Bible has to say about God's sovereignty and man's responsibility.

  • @clayhutchins I never said that man is sovereign over salvation - please don't put words in my mouth. I understand completely what you believe about "God's sovereignty and man's responsibility" - you repeat exactly what you have been taught by the "traditions of men."

  • @clayhutchins "You have yet to understand that I believe what the Bible has to say about God's sovereignty and man's responsibility."

You believe what you were TAUGHT that the Bible has to say, not necessarily what the original writers and God Himself intended - and those are two different things. You prefer to idolize and mimic the likes of John Piper rather than think for yourself, and you have proved this by claiming to be a Calvinist and yet contradicting the Calvinist doctrines repeatedly.

  • @Thinkinginstead I'm done arguing.

  • @clayhutchins Good.

  • @clayhutchins According to Calvinism man does not have a free will now, but we must have had one when we CHOSE to CREATE OURSELVES as totally depraved, in-bondage-to-sin creatures who hated our heavenly Father. It would seem then - that when we weren’t subject to ignorance, or deception, or anything else that would interfere with knowing God, but knew Him exactly as He is - that every single one of us, without exception, chose to hate Him.

What's so wrong with God that all would hate Him?

  • @Thinkinginstead Right now you are not fighting Calvinism, you are fighting orthodox evangelical Christianity in general. We all believe Adam and Eve had free will and not a sinful nature before the fall. There's nothing wrong in God, but there is something wrong with Satan and deceit and our stupid, proud selves.

  • @clayhutchins "There's nothing wrong in God, but there is something wrong with Satan and deceit and our stupid, proud selves."

But you apparently believe that Satan's power to corrupt mankind is greater than God's power to redeem it. As such it is you who have no faith in God.

  • @clayhutchins "Right now you are not fighting Calvinism, you are fighting orthodox evangelical Christianity in general."

Actually I fight both, for they are both nothing but religion - man's attempt to reconcile himself to God - and God already did that. You claim to be a Calvinist and yet you have no idea what your own doctrines teach. Before you defend a position you should actually know what that position states.

  • @clayhutchins "We all believe Adam and Eve had free will and not a sinful nature before the fall. "

You are assuming here that everyone agrees with you, which is a gross generalization on your part. Regardless of Adam and Eve's original nature, however, it was God who decreed that all of humanity would INHERIT a sinful nature - we did not CHOOSE it. You speak as if man created himself, as if man subjected himself to corruption and the bondage to sin, when it was God Himself who subjected us.

  • @clayhutchins "There's nothing wrong in God, but there is something wrong with Satan and deceit and our stupid, proud selves."

Ah, for once we actually agree. And this is exactly why God sent His son to save us from our sins; to take away the sins of the world; to reconcile the world to Himself; to destroy the works of the devil... and yet you deny that all of this will happen. Why Clay? Do you believe God will fail? Do you believe that Christ failed?

  • @Thinkinginstead Here's just a few verses I encourage you to read that outline God's sovereignty and man's responsibility - 2 Sam 24:1, 10; Gen 50:17-20; Matt 26:20-24; Acts 2:23; 3:13-15; 4:8-11 but yet 4:26-28 is true as well; Acts 27:22-32; Jer 25:8-9 talks of God wielding Babylon as a weapon of his wrath, but then in 25:12, God says he will then punish Babylon for being the weapon of his wrath.

Not man, but SCRIPTURES like this tell me that God is sovereign and man is responsible.

  • It must be that God somehow allowed Babylon to do the evil that they already wanted to do therefore God was using them but they were still responsible. A bit like if you have a vicious dog on a lead and you give it some slack so it can bite someone. Ultimately you and the dog brought about the attack.

  • I bet those here that are complaining about the cost of death row inmates don't realize it's cheaper to keep them in jail for life. Also America has a higher percentage of it's population in jails/institutions than any other nation. We are #1 in the world at imprisonment and institutionalization. There is something wrong with that.

Kill Kill Kill is always the answer, now that's stupid !!!

  • @Rwbigbear. I feel sorry for you. obviously you don't know God. I think when your burning in hell you might then believe there is a heaven, and a Just God. I often wondered why God made a Hell, now I know. Glad I'm part of the elect.

You might think Piper is a Moron, but your wrong.

do some research do you even know how Many people are wrongfully convicted ? Do you know that innocent people have died because of your beloved death penalty?

Your words prove your lack of intelligence,

  • This is a truly awful answer. A bit like someone on a life raft who has narrowly escaped death laughing at those drowning. If he had been truly saved he undoubtedly wouldn't be mocking those drowning.

  • if there was a god why would he have you in jail

  • @zubestr I'd like to point out that Paul, who wrote most of the New Testament, spent alot of his time as a Christian in jail. Guess what happened in jail? He led lots of people to Christ. So if Jesus wants to lock me up tomorrow even if I'm not guilty, He can, because my life is His now, and they're are people in prison that I can share the gospel with.

  • anybody on death row should be executed in the first year......They keep these parasites on deathrow for tooooooooooo long. Think of the money us tax payers are paying all these years. End of story.... ps. moron....there is no heaven

  • @rwbigbear There's no heaven? Oh really? So you've been to the other side of life and death have you? Hmmm. I doubt it. You've just proven by that statement that you don't belong in intelligent conversation. You can't prove there isn't heaven just like I can't prove there is. We've got the same amount of evidence. Sit down and re-think 1) your life and 2) your approach to logic and reasoning.

  • Who cares about these people, They did something to disrupt society they deserve to be in jail, It would be easier just to shoot them all to save that 50k a year in tax payers money to house just ONE of these criminals. if you believe in a god so much why not just kill these people to send them to 'god' faster. When your life is going good it's "god" when your life is going bad it's "god" just faith.

  • You do realize not everyone who goes to prison is guilty.

  • @EvilBunniexxx

That is a extremely low percentage and if are legal system wasn't so fucked up that would be even less of a problem.

  • COMO PUEDO HACER YO PARA VER ESTA PELICULA? YO VIVO EN VENEZUELA. I AM FROM VENEZUELA AND I WANT WATCH THIS FILM
