@killbillet420 Idk I used to get made fun of for listening to these guys back in the day. its kinda nice to have some other people to talk to about bands like this.
this song is amazing. I had this on my OLD mp3 player before I knew who Norma Jean was. I didnt know lutikris and norma jean were the same band. I wish norma jean stayed this sick
I know they were called luti-kriss but Josh says at the beginning of the show "we're Norma Jean". Go watch "I used to hate cell phone...." from the same show before talking. You'll see. They probably had already changed their name at this moment
@xeronik69 I know you asked this a year ago, but in case you're still wondering: it was on the album "throwing myself" under the band name "luti-kriss". I'm sure you can get it pretty cheap these days, but it has no fewer than three awesome songs (light blue collar, the anni-hilat-ion and an act of my own volition).
i think the Chariot sounds almost exactly like how Norma jean used to sound, except for how they add sampling and stuff to their music, its so weird that josh left the band NJ, and the reasons that are said don't make enough sense to me as simple as it sounds, because josh basically went straight into another band doing practically the same music, just different songs, is there a secret reason he left norma jean he doesn't want the fans to know of?
The Chariot sounds much different than any work he did with NJ or anything NJ did without him. The Chariot is one of the few really good metal/metalcore/whatever bands out there. They do it really well.
i wrote this a long while ago, i know what you're saying now, i was just new to the scene and a lot stuff sounded similar because i noticed that bands do a lot of dissonant chords, and norma jean was the first band i ever listened to that based a lot of their sound on that. the chariot i would still say is comparable to norma jean, and would make for a good concert pair up choice, though considering NJ's new stuff probably a bit conflicting with the crowd :-/
Does anyone know what church this is? I miss seeing them with Josh, I can still remember seeing the Luti-Kriss record release show, but that was a long time ago
The Chariot is my favorite band. Nothing sounds like The Fiancee, and the feedback that they incorporate into their music? Great stuff. I only started more recently digging NJ's older stuff, but Josh and The Chariot are for me. Norma Jean wise I prefer Cory.
i cant believe no ones movin around ey. it looks like theyre playin in someones house or something. if they played in my house i wouldve been movin even more than them. gotta love norma jean, old stuff and new
Fuck yes. I've had bless the child since like '04. Idk i love these guys, i cant dig anything past this album really. sounds mostly all the same to me...

xeronik69 3 years ago
Because this song is from when they were known as "Luti-Kriss."
And he left because he felt it was what God called him to do. He has stated up and down it wasn't negative and there is no secret, simple as that.
And the Chariot sounds VASTLY different than Norma Jean. I am not even sure how you came to make that conclusion.

I think xeronik means compared to what was on O God, The Aftermath.
The Chariot > anything after Bless the Martyr
