  • They weren't called luti-kriss here.... he SAYS "we are norma jean" right at the beginning...

  • @nuketheempire what he means is the song is from throwing yourself. the album from when they were called luti-kriss

  • I missed the days when I listened to bands like luti-kriss and shit wasnt going mainstream,

  • @killbillet420 Idk I used to get made fun of for listening to these guys back in the day. its kinda nice to have some other people to talk to about bands like this.

  • I can c y Josh left them for The Chariot (LONG LIVE!!!!)

  • I live in NJ, where the hell are these Crazy christian kids, "I Love Jesus Christ", give me a break, good band but come on

  • @chrisfromshaolin it does look like they are playing at a church basement though

  • this song is amazing. I had this on my OLD mp3 player before I knew who Norma Jean was. I didnt know lutikris and norma jean were the same band. I wish norma jean stayed this sick

  • God Bless these guys :D

looks like their having a great time XD

  • the girl at the end of the video sounds like she had an orgasm HAHA! THUMBS UP IF U HEARD IT TO!

  • is this the tabernacle in melbourne?...my hometown?

  • In the beginning of "I used to hate cell phones..." Josh says "we're Norma Jean", not Luti-kriss

  • your dumb they were called Luti-kriss then changed there name because there's a rapper called Ludacriss

  • I know they were called luti-kriss but Josh says at the beginning of the show "we're Norma Jean". Go watch "I used to hate cell phone...." from the same show before talking. You'll see. They probably had already changed their name at this moment

  • Chris and scottie got fat too. xD

actually everyone is fat in Norma jean now. Besides jake shultz. :P

  • @xnortonxxvirusx Corey's not that fat.

  • They really threw down back then. And still do in the Chariot.

  • why didn't this song go onto bless the martyr? :-/

  • @xeronik69 I know you asked this a year ago, but in case you're still wondering: it was on the album "throwing myself" under the band name "luti-kriss". I'm sure you can get it pretty cheap these days, but it has no fewer than three awesome songs (light blue collar, the anni-hilat-ion and an act of my own volition).

  • Josh got fat. lol. He is still amazing.

  • the chariot has moved in a very unique direction. i'm just not diggin it these days.... but then i'm not in high school anymore. :P

  • haha thats true. But you gotta love fat josh. He rocks !

  • i never heard of this song before, awesome :D

i think the Chariot sounds almost exactly like how Norma jean used to sound, except for how they add sampling and stuff to their music, its so weird that josh left the band NJ, and the reasons that are said don't make enough sense to me as simple as it sounds, because josh basically went straight into another band doing practically the same music, just different songs, is there a secret reason he left norma jean he doesn't want the fans to know of?

  • Because this song is from when they were known as "Luti-Kriss."

And he left because he felt it was what God called him to do. He has stated up and down it wasn't negative and there is no secret, simple as that.

And the Chariot sounds VASTLY different than Norma Jean. I am not even sure how you came to make that conclusion.

  • I think xeronik means compared to what was on O God, The Aftermath.

The Chariot > anything after Bless the Martyr

  • The Chariot sounds much different than any work he did with NJ or anything NJ did without him. The Chariot is one of the few really good metal/metalcore/whatever bands out there. They do it really well.

  • i wrote this a long while ago, i know what you're saying now, i was just new to the scene and a lot stuff sounded similar because i noticed that bands do a lot of dissonant chords, and norma jean was the first band i ever listened to that based a lot of their sound on that. the chariot i would still say is comparable to norma jean, and would make for a good concert pair up choice, though considering NJ's new stuff probably a bit conflicting with the crowd :-/

i saw the interview with josh btw

  • Does anyone know what church this is? I miss seeing them with Josh, I can still remember seeing the Luti-Kriss record release show, but that was a long time ago

  • It is a Knights of Columbus Halls in Arlington Heights, IL.

Place used to have hella awesome shows there before all the 15 year old kids started getting drunk there and getting the cops called.

  • they were the best band then

  • josh is what made norma jean what they are he was soo hardcore

  • /agreed, good thing there's the chariot huh? lol

  • The Chariot is my favorite band. Nothing sounds like The Fiancee, and the feedback that they incorporate into their music? Great stuff. I only started more recently digging NJ's older stuff, but Josh and The Chariot are for me. Norma Jean wise I prefer Cory.

This song was crazy, wish I was there.

  • look at the church moms standing behind the drummer hahahaha.

hey everyones gotta start somewhere. theyre huge now.

  • Josh is a beat, I loved when he guest sang with Living Sacrifice.

  • they actually had some great shit back then!

  • looks like a basement to a church.

  • is that Scottie closest to the camera?

  • 2:15 gives me goosebumps. It makes me so happy.

  • wrong response

    ah i quit youtube commenting.

  • i cant believe no ones movin around ey. it looks like theyre playin in someones house or something. if they played in my house i wouldve been movin even more than them. gotta love norma jean, old stuff and new

  • They kicked ass back in the day.

Fuck yes. I've had bless the child since like '04. Idk i love these guys, i cant dig anything past this album really. sounds mostly all the same to me...

  • You realize this song is not on Bless the Martyr?

  • Yeh i know, this is when they were luti-kriss. Im just sayin..

  • or maybe people are actually listening to the band, and there isn't a bunch of scene kids hardcore dancing all over the place.

  • excellent response

  • You're such an idiot ^_^

  • :D I think it was an accurate observation. Not saying the music is bad, just such a hilarious contrast between them and the audience

  • hmmm. did the handshake murder play also at this gig??

  • i want josh's shoes.

  • luti-kriss wasnt ahead of their time, they were crappy nu-metal and norma jean (while enjoyable) is still just a botch rip off.

  • Wow that's old.

  • wow very old vid

  • The correct name of that song is The "Anni Hilat" Ion

  • Damn. Luti-kris was so ahead of their time. Still prefer lutikris over the new shit with corey. Light blue collar is a favorite.

  • but hte last album josh made with them was, in my opinion, an amazing album. ive had it since '03 and i cna still lsiten to it daily. idk, i really love bless the martyr...

  • Amen.

I still rock my old school Luti-Kriss jacket. Everyone thinks it's the rapper. :lame:

  • Uh...his name is Josh Scogin not Days, There is Josh DIES in Showbread tho...

  • im pretty sure he means days as in "back in the josh days"

  • You're dumb.

Enmasse, do you know where this show was played? I'm from Atlanta, their hometown.

  • Do you mean Douglasville?

  • josh is crazy nuts. its great

  • ahhh memories..

  • the name of the song an act of my own volition, or like now annihilation uhhhhh, i love norma jean man and that its pretty old yeah.

  • NOrma jean an Josh !!! those beatifull days!!!!

  • i love how they play this song live

  • are these videos from the arlington heights knights of columbus? summer 2002?

  • The name Of this song is "An Act Of My Own Volition".

This song was written back when Norma Jean's name was Luti-Kriss.

  • Actually, the name of this song is Anni-hilat-ion. It's track three from the Luti-Kriss album "Throwing Myself".

  • josh even says it at around 30 secs lmao

  • ha ha, I didn't even notice that before. good call.
