song is called 'step by step' by jesse winchester, its not on youtube which sucks but its on itunes for 70 cents, one of the few tunes worth buying....
Unfortunately the original song for the season 1 montage can't be posted for copyright reasons - I think this take on it was brilliant though, mainly because I'm a huge Solomon Burke fan and loved Fast Train!
Excellent choice of music. Solomon Burke's haunting song fits the video perfectly as evidenced by the scene at 2:35. At that spot we can see that Stringer Bell is a doomed man, he is on a fast train to destruction and he can't or he won't get off of that train, and you can see that realization and the resignation in his face. Thanks for sharing.
Great job orangenad. This song is a perfect fit as evidenced by the scene at 2:35. Springer Bell is a doomed man, he is on a fast train to destruction, he knows it, he can't or he won't stop it, it is all in his face.
@Kindelan He did not try to improve it. He put a new song on because of copyright issues. It clearly says that. Also, this song is amazing, and definitely the best alternative montage song from the other four seasons.
Ok, so whoever fucked this up. Thanks for mixing season 1 and 3 because you clearly don't know what the fuck you are doing. If you don't have the human ability (One would usually say you don't have the balls but I prefer the non sexist approach) to put Jesse Winchester on a youtube playlist you don't have the balls to do what's right. Yeah. confederacy is what he shows but the artist makes the play here, first amendment. You either live and die by it or go to another country.
I think this works better for season three because the story lines ran a bit deeper after we had three seasons with these characters and fast train is a heavier song.
I think you're right, this excellent song is perfect for every season (though I do think that the song for season 2, Efige is perfect for that montage ... Fast Train would still be great though).

Thats Marlo in the background when Santangilo is walking the beat by the corner. Marlos corner.
PeteyB267 2 years ago
Obviously not. He didn't get a job on the show until season 3.
itsallreal 2 years ago
Obviously. He has the headband on, they wanted to show how young he was when all this was happening. so hush puppy.
PeteyB267 2 years ago
it s not marlo. Anyone with half a brain knows that shit.

Yes it is. That is his corner is season 3. Anyone wit a full brain would know that

It's not fucking marlo. You are an idiot.
itsallreal 2 years ago
yeah, maybe, (which I highly doubt) but still, it's season 1, and marlo was first on the show in season 3.
marlo is not there in this video. he is not. that is fact.

I love the song and the series but the original had a cynical tone that I think was a better fit.
Interesting experiment though, nice.
