Ihop is fake and is a cult. Only Jesus could do amazing miracles to people publicly. Leaders at Ihop performs 'miracles' through the holy spirit. First of all God and the Holy Spirit performs miracles privately with individuals. Ihop states that they seek signs and wonders, but Jesus said An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign. (Matt. 12:38-39)

@iputonchrist Oh OK :-) I don't live there either, I'm from the Netherlands :-) FCF services are just the regular Sunday church services and the EGS (Encountering God Service) services are the church services on Fridays and Saturdays. But right now they have the Awakening services on Fri and Sat instead of EGS... Lots of church services :-)

Also, hallucinations relating to religion are extremely common amongst those who've been religiously brainwashed. It allows the brain to think that it's delusions are correct, bypassing logic.

It's amazing to me that I keep hearing this comment about fundamental beliefs not being a religion. God is not a religion. God can be interpreted in many diverse ways. Yet places such as IHOP believe to "know" the "only" way and answer, which to me is a fundamental institution and therefore a religion. And these kids represent the scariest part of religion.

I actually understand why Hitchens believes what he believes, because in many cases religion is the problem....but there has to be something greater than just being born, suffering life's struggles, and dieing. I mean there must be a purpose to this life....and how could men, a product of chance, a finite being be the source of purpose and meaning? A human being can't....there must be something greater!! There must be a higher being, creator of all...it's just up to you to find the truth!!

I remember as a kid wanting to get involved in church and really actually do everything the grown ups were doing, but it was seldom they ever let me even so much as help with a sunday school class because I was young.
