One great thing of this movie is that mr Carpenter really did managed to capture the essence typical Hong Kong sword and wire fu action movie in the 80's, way before Wachoski brothers and their Matrix. A time when Hollywood 80's "martial art" movie would just be some Van Damme, Karate Kid or Ninja b-action movie that don't use wire fu.

Definitely one of the best fight scenes! I love when Rain looks Wang up & down after they fly around a couple timed like "who the fuck is this guy"? Then Wang hits him with the eyebrows like "yeah bitch. I got skills". LOVE IT!!!

Now this is my idea of swordplay! The best part about this choreography is that they let the actors showcase what they know on their own. The aerial stuff looks magnificent. Dennis Dun and Peter Kwong...For the Win!

Wang Chi was one bad motha in this fight scene! He was doin' some high-flying wutang shaolin type stuff! When my friends came over, we'd all grab a part and pretended to play the characters from this. I always got Wang Chi!
