The USAF never had a problem to maintain air superiority in the battlefield even with the older and much cheaper aircraft by using AWACS control and BVR missiles. Honestly, I thought the design for the PAK/t-50 would have better than this. When I saw the real t-50, i was so disappointed. It looked like it was a rushed job, and they basically cut and pasted parts from different su designs. They ddn't come up with a fresh and new air frame. @sergynkov Granted my data is limited to what governments allow but "burying" the f 22 just is not correct. The f 35 is no match but the 22 still has BVR advantages and is full stealth. The T50 is reported having 6 hardpoints externally making radar hit spots. The T 50 will however have one advantage the f 22 never will have; full 3D thrust vectoring once engine designs are complete. These are two technical titans, and if they ever clash, it will be pilot experience that determines the winner.
@sergynkov F-35 isn't meant to outperform as its supposed to cheap and easy to maintain. And pretty much nothing can best an F-22 because you can't see in on radar, and usually not on thermal either.

@canaryman69 You're right in every aspect except when you say "No nation has shed more blood sweat tears and treasure for other nations than the U.S." The US lost only a small fraction of soldiers during WW2 compared to the Russians (who lost a hell of a lot of men fighting the Nazis.) More US soldiers died during the American Civil War than during WW2, Vietnam, Korea, Gulf Wars 1 & 2, and Afghanistan put together.

The reason that 25 million russians were killed was becouse at the beginning only 1 out of 5 men had a weapon the other 4 only had a spade. another reason is that there equipment was shit and so were their tanks. later in the war that changed. and don't foget that if germany wasn't fighting Britain and the USA russia would have been devistated in less than 2 years. ohh and i almost forgot that the USA had to take down those fucking japs on their own. brittain and russia fought like 3 battles.

Honestly, I thought the design for the PAK/t-50 would have better than this. When I saw the real t-50, i was so disappointed. It looked like it was a rushed job, and they basically cut and pasted parts from different su designs. They ddn't come up with a fresh and new air frame. THe damn t-50 doesn't even look like an air superiority fighter. It looks like an attacker.

thats a pretty broad statement comrade.BTW, the australians are just pissed because we won't let them have the f-22.And these :"places" they referred to are areas where the US doesn't have f-22's or f-15's deployed. I can gurantee you that once we get some raptors and eagles in those areas, russian air superiority will go out the window. The only thing russians really have that scares us, are SAMS . The russian planes are mostly 3rd generation, and pretty easy to take down.

Also, in 10-15 years, the us will probably have a new fighter plane out, which will be even more deadlier than a f-22 raptor, and hopefully cheaper too. Right now the us is testing x planes in their secret black projects in nevada. Everything russia has, the us has already found a way to take it out. Right now we are focusing on improving defenses on our planes and our sateligtes systems. Pretty soon we will start using laser and lrg burst missles in air to air combat. Air superiority baby!

@sergynkov Granted my data is limited to what governments allow but "burying" the f 22 just is not correct. The f 35 is no match but the 22 still has BVR advantages and is full stealth. The T50 is reported having 6 hardpoints externally making radar hit spots. The T 50 will however have one advantage the f 22 never will have; full 3D thrust vectoring once engine designs are complete. These are two technical titans, and if they ever clash, it will be pilot experience that determines the winner.
