  • the sad thing is you just cant get away with skating like this now adays

  • OHH, I want board like that :DD That sure is real skateboarding !

  • if you see skateboarding back then and now...how would it be over 30 years?? maybe Tony Hawk's American Wastland is real!!

  • tony alva is the best skater compared to stacy

  • yo i still have one of these boards, i'm 18 and i was 6 when i first started skating. when i was 6 my 1st baord was something like a santa cruz it was fuckin sick! i can backside flip on flat with those bastards! video coming out soon!

  • these guys brought skating to life

  • see people thats whe skating was actually good

  • Is that pipe still there ? i wanna skate it.

  • i though stacy peralta was just a fictional character from the movie.

  • @ApathethicJustice since stacy peralta did actualy MAKE the movie it should have been obvious to you that he was not fictional ;)

and btw all of the protagonists of the movie are not fictional...

  • I've just started skateboarding and I'm going to old school like these guys. And it certainly isn't easier. I mean it takes some guts what these guys are doing

  • Got my shortboard last sunday. Today i had my first ever stack. Face planted into the grass through sticks and rough grass and was knocked out. Loved every minute of it hahaha

  • i dont know the name of the song! so dont ask!

  • video is amazing! can anyone tell me what the name of the song is???

  • Did tacy ever become pro? The reason i'm asking is I don't know much about him I know much more about skateboarding these days.

  • @sk8erboy730 yea he became pro for awhile but not long, he ended up started his own company and founded tony hawk and abunch of other famous skaters. you can watch the movie lords of dogtown, and there's also a documentary with all three of the big zboys in it and some of the less popular ones.

  • what´s the name of the song?

  • Whoever dislikes this video is a FRUITBOOTER!

  • wish there were spots like this where i live all i got is a flat land and a liitle bitch hill

  • does this spot still exist?

  • I'm 45 and just got back on the old board. It'll take a bit before I'm back up to speed but I haven't enjoyed myself so much in years as going to the local skateparks recently. I rock the old school pig decks and will never change to the modern board style because I don't like them. My boards are very fast, very quiet, and very smooth riding. I just wish Kryptonics was reissuing old school wheels now.

  • Wow the days before flat bottom. LOL!!!

  • @CORRUPTsn1per All the power to you bro! It takes some real balls to pull a frontside Smith grind or rock & roll in the deep end of a pool or bowl! Also a huge high speed Bert slide on flat ground feels good too! I think vert skating will make a full come back like anything eles that's good.

  • Here's my 2 cents. I'm 41 and skate at a local concrete park with lots of mini tranny and street stuff and a good 9' deep bowl. If your watching this video because you were a skater back in the day...then get off your ass and buy a skate and let it rip! the weight will come off your fat ass and you can stop dreaming about "back in the day" We need more old school at the parks and I'm tired of kids lookin' at me funny!

  • @ozarkcacti I agree with you on that! I skated "back in the day", started skating again after watching Dogtown and Z Boyz, and at 49 am still enjoying myself immensely skating old school in the local skateparks.

Mind you, kids don't look at me ( or my old school "bros" ) funny, rather they look up to us and admire our lines.

  • @auldsk8r I'm glad to hear your back on the board bro! Well the kids looked at me funny at first, but that's because I'm the only older dude skating out here in hillbilly red neck coutry LOL. They are lucky if their dads come to pick them up with a beer in hand. They had never seen anyone pull off rock & rolls or a sweeper in the bowl until I moved down here from CA. Now some of the kids are working on rocks on the mini ramps! They also seem to dig the old school punk rock I skate to!

  • that would be sweet back then... i wish.

  • Reall skateboarding this is fucken badass!! i would shure love to shred in those times!

  • song?????????

  • these guys are the lords of awesometown.:D

  • the camera guy looks just like the photographer in lords of dogtown

  • I was born too late...

  • @OMFGPatrickXD no skate parks were horrible then and they were few and far between.

  • @tblaxxable

ahh foo dont be a downer

  • Rodney Mullen owns these guys.

  • what ever stupid thede guys are the best there the begining of skateboard histiry

  • @sammytheman2000 These guys inspired Rodney

  • those boards weighed like 18 pounds

  • You can get some of the boards on eBay

Stacy was riding a warptail g&s with trackers and powell wheels

    Maybe

It's been a while since we all skates Lakewood

    They might be g&s wheels

  • @andyboblomas Oh yeah, sure, maybe. Stacy is skating a brite yellow 10" wide G&S Warptail - not a even a Warptail II - with Tracker Trucks bolted on to two beams on the bottom of the skateboard with brite yellow 'Powell' double radial wheels or possibly G&S double radial wheels and wearing a brite orange Bones t-shirt with the Ripper on the back. Stacy was skating colored Bones wheels while riding his Warptail for G&S. You were a real hardcore skater back in the day and you never stopped right?

  • @andyboblomas Stacy's skating a bright yellow Powell-Peralta 'Beamer' with bright yellow Bones 'Brite-Lite' wheels in the video.

This is a great video to see. All of the skaters styles are so fluid. The slides kill me. I wouldn't know anything about so many of them if it wasn't for videos like this on YouTube. The Bert that Ayres does? I didn't know that they could be done so quick and fluid the way he does them in the video and he was so tall and burly. Got to see him skate the Combi-Pool.

  • any1 know where i could get a skateboard like theirs?

  • Thumbs up if your searching all the Z-boys cus you watched "Lords of Dogtown"

  • @Robito555 That movie sucked... watch the documentary its ten times better.

  • @devongendreau Very True! The skateboarding was good but the story line was weak! I saw it in theatres and I remember thinking to myself "ummm Where is Jeff Ho!?!?" "Why isnt Stacy Peralta wearing a Zephyr shirt at the 75' Del Mar contest?!?!"

  • his Vans are so sick.

  • The new skate scene is way too high pressure, I wish i was lucky enough to skate back in these days

  • dude, if peralta or adams didnt exist, skating would be nothing now.... thank god for these guys

  • @squatchism YA DAMN RIGHT! Jay Adams & the ZBOYS were the Spark that ignited the Skateboard Revolution!

  • @ConcreteSurfer420 haha, YEAH! (nice name by the way)

  • jay adams is the best guy who ever lived!

  • @squatchism and alva had no part in this ;P

  • @squatchism If the Z Boys didn't exist we would all be finishing a run with gymnastics moves

  • Love to see skating like this! Everyone is invited to enter our 'Sponsor Me' video contest. 4 decks up for grabs!

  • uits funny how the zboys were a couple of adrenaline junkies and look at them now

  • does anyone know where i can get those style decks?

  • Comment removed

  • @chechepepe007 ebay or skateboards of choice

  • @chechepepe007 just go to a skate store, or like cbs or somthing and type or ask for oldschool decks

  • theres nothin like the sound of urethane on white concrete!

  • Old school? this is not old school, this was the hottest thing at the time, the epitome of cutting edge. what a dumb term.

  • what kind of wheels does he have?!!?

  • @StupidStuf3 Second generation Bones

  • Yeah Stac!

  • This is what pisses me off about Stacey Peralta. The guy tears it up but all he does now is make movies about skateboarding, why can't he just shut up, grab a board and......

  • guy pooped his shorts 1:22

  • THIS IS REAL SKATEBOARD FUCKERS!!!!

AND IM 16 years old!!!!LETS SURF ON THE GROUND!!!!

  • @MrSana856 AMEN BROTHER!

  • @MrSana856 you are so right Bro!

  • @MrSana856 Yeah man !!!!

  • @MrSana856 Aye! Good shit! Love it, old school for life! Fuck the new egotistical styles!

  • @MrSana856 you heard him. this is real skateboard.

  • this was badass. i love 70's style skating.

  • song ?

  • awesome...

  • better style ever....

  • yup 1978

  • beautiful, that's incredible how quickly skateboarding 'evolved' in just like 15 years to where 360 kickflips were the norm, huge handrails and stairs, not to mention vert tricks. hell, in 11 years they had H-Street from all of this. unreal.

  • lovee old school skaters

  • Totally Sic!

  • that was sickk.

  • fucking awesome!!!

  • this is so fukin madd

  • i wish they stll made parks like this

  • Those half pipes are nuts too...no flat bottom. you dont think about it, but most vert/mini ramps have flat bottoms. riding one that doesnt really throws you off at first.

  • Omfg this snake run is gnarley and as sick as any can hope to be I want to live there

  • wish i had a half pipe like that in my backyard

  • i use to think stacy was a girl

  • song?

  • they`re outfits rules!!! jajaja!

  • Talk about a sick halfpipe! Wow!

  • is this guy from the movie dog town that skateing movie

    plz help me.

  • yeh, this is stacy peralta, one of the z-boys but they are just actors in lords of dogtown movie 8D

  • yea .

  • yeah he is

  • that's from skateboard madness...

  • woah what boards are those guys usin?. I want one. I longboard, and those old school boards are crazy. Can anyone help me out?

  • far out.was this like the 70s

  • 1978 to be exact

  • Lakewood Skatepark! That place rocked.

  • Old skool all the way! looove it!

  • bones brigade and stacy peralta go way back

  • It was in Lakewood CA

  • That's the sickest pipe ever.

  • Was that a shot of "Mellow Cat" at the start? BTW, those leather Nike's were the shiite back in the day.

  • thats old school all right i just wanna know where the bowl is

  • I dunno. It might be Reseda

  • It was Lakewood Skate Park in Lakewood, CA. Near Long Beach in LA County.
