This is what has ruined DM. Gahan's obsession to perform the same old rockish songs. How many times do we have to hear the same old version of IFY? A band with such a vast choice of songs and what they do? They play always the same songs like this, PJ, ETS, AQOT etc etc. Gahan's moves have become so predictable and annoying. He should reinvent himself because he looks pathetic right now. He and Eigner have destroyed this great band

Dude did you just diss "A Question of Time" in your tirade?? ... That song along with most of DM's set are great songs. A great band is marked by their diversity & DM def have that. Anyone who's seen their live concerts knows that they mix rock tunes like above with slower balads and techno classics. To say they just do these types of song is pretty narrow minded.

First off..it's hilarious that you think just because someone's from the USA they dont know about DM. Shows some conceit and ignorance on your part. Secondly I'm sure you've seen them many times but yes I've seen them in every show in my area from the Black Celebration forward & have met Martin Gore and Alan Wilder... it may not be so much what you said but how you chose to say it.. if you notice youve got about 6 thumbs down on your comment meaning the majority's agreeing with me on this one.

First off.....If you have seen DM from BC tour and on, then you should knw by now that DM never mixed rock sounds and techno classics. Route66 and personaljesus were the first clear examples of rock, but they were exceptions. The 1st rock outing of DM was SOFAD in 1993. Hardly "always" like you said on that comment. That's my point.

I've got 6 thumbs down simply because the fanatics(believe me, i used to be one) don't accept negative criticism. They're blindfolded. I speak with facts.

Alright ... the word "always" isnt even in my first post so I'm not sure where thats comming from? I've been talking about their current variety of songs... My point is that the mixture that can currently be seen in their music is a good thing... it show's the bands growth and has kept them relevent over the years. Certainly other synth bands of their time havnt achieved their level of success... But your entitled to your opinion and i'm entitled to mine so i guess we'll just agree to disagree.

If you didn't use "always", sorry my bad mate. I had the impression you did. Anyway, the way i see it, this is not DM but Dave Gahan & his band. IMO Gore has stepped back quite considerably to let Dave do his "thing". He obviously doesn't care anymore and he's uninspired. This band is going nowhere with the current state of things. Facts prove that nobody's remembering anything from DM as a trio, besides the hardcore fans. None of their songs has become a classic, only Ultra came close but.....

Ah no worries then... Truth is I probably shouldnt have come out swinging right from the gate anyways... that first post just got me in the mood to defend DM & then after that defending the USA and then it was all downhill from there lol... nothing wrong with a good solid debate though. Like all bands they'll have memorable song and albums and some not so memorable... I'm just glad their still out there giving us new material... at any level it's still better than most other bands.
