2 years house arrest, 7 years probation, license suspended forever. Not exactly 30 days. There's plenty of people who drove drunk and get a 6 month license suspension, but they were never unlucky enough to have a guy run out in front of them.

People have a skewed view of Drugs in America, you never here of Rape, Murder or even unplanned pregnancy because someone was under the influence of Marijuana. But still Alcohol is the Socially Acceptable Drug in this country. Many athletes smoke Marijuana, you never here about it because they aren't doing stupid things while under the influence.
