  • In the early years there were cases where the NBA postponed games because of criminal incidents near the arena.

  • The Heat and Panthers should've known their roles instead of being for new arenas so don't be surprised if the AAA is imploded in 10 years.

  • So ridicuclous. How do you demolish a 20 year old arena? What reasoning is there for such waste???

  • @thunderstruck665 Because it onlt sat 14,500plus for Bball and about 16,000 for hockey thats why. I don't agree with it but if you want pro sports you need at the very least 17,000 for both Bball and hockey.

  • lol @ all the car alarms

  • Pointless to demolish it when it was a fairly new bulding when it comes to event venues.

  • Opened July 1988

    Closed 2008

    Demolished October 21, 2008

    = 20 years, what a waste.

  • n whoever was video taping this is a noob with a tripod.

  • Geez couldnt u just have started the video later and saved everyone three minutes of their life?

  • It looks brand new from the back.

  • Except for the first 3:19 of the video, it's pretty cool. A tripod is your friend.

  • Both the Miami Heat & Florida Panthers played their home games in Miami Arena. This was one of the last multi-sport arenas built. The Heat moved a few blocks away to the American Airlines Arena. The Panthers moved north to Sunrise, right outside of Fort Lauderdale, to the Bank Atlantic Center, f/k/a the Office Depot Center.

  • yes and the heat

  • Is this the Arena, were the Florida Panthers used to play?

  • lame implosion yeah yeah here come the dust

  • Great video!

  • thankssss
