  • It reminds me very strongly of the theme music for Lawrence of Arabia. Well done!

This "guilty until proven innocent" bullshit from YouTube regarding DMCA's and flagging has to come to an end.

I'm at pains to understand how they can do business like this at all since EVERYONE is vulnerable to false DMCA and flagging.

  • Nice that you had a composition actually recorded. :)

  • Nice composition ;)

  • Were you influenced by Ravel's Bolero?

  • like the music

  • Oh this Douche is in soo much trouble now, he's Coughlin's preparing to file for Purjury charges if this douche can't provide proof after the Counter-Claim then he's fuckered !!

Coughlin reckons there is enough Videos taken down that he can file for loss of revenue as well.

    Viva! Coughlin!

  • Coughlan has stated in his most recent video that it's actually 7 and not 4.

  • Bolero with electric guitar? Hmm...

This fragment of your composition is strikingly similar to Ravel's Bolero (and to the Overture from Final Fantasy 8, which itself seems to be a kind of homage to said Ravel's piece).

I'm not familiar with the Bolero as a dance, so it might be that actually all Boleros start like that, but I'd like to think that the similarity between Ravel's and yours not coincidental - which would make it twice as interesting. Would you be willing to share the whole piece?

  • If they try to silence one voice, a thousand will cry out in protest.

Do these people think they can censor us in an age when free speech is held sacred? Let them corner us with their underhanded tactics--we will show them what we're capable of when our backs are to the wall.

  • Is there anyone who can decisively say what the offending articles of his videos were?

What exactly does paul kent hold copyright on?

How can anyone know if they are infringing an obscure claim?

He may have taken out a copyright on raising eyebrows for all i know

We could all be flagged by this sort of nitpickery

Claiming copyright without open proof of cause permits much mischief

Stifling Artistic expression in a private video club will lose valuable members and credibility

  • I like this song you've composed. Really cool. It reminds me of star wars.

  • I'm glad Coughlan is suing.

    Also,

You need to upload that somewhere as an mp3 for us. I really want to hear it all.

  • For someone who doesn't take it seriously you have made quite a few posts. Maybe start a forum if it's that important to you. :D

  • awesome music man you should keep composing

  • NO he's got thousands of subscribers not just you.If it's not that important WHY did you even post a message.Just because it is not important to you it is to him, no offence I hope u see what I mean.

  • I posted a comment because I wanted too. It didn't have to be important to me for me to post a comment. Post comments for fun. And thats how I see youtube as fun. Not so serious. I hope he does get his channel back and it is straighten out but like I said if he doesn't he can start another and I will sub him. And I'm pretty sure all his other subs will as well.

  • Yall take this shit way to seriously. This DICK you speak of can just start another channel. When He does I'll sub. No worries. Calm Down DILL HOLES! LOL

  • Yeah, 'cos that other channel is going to have the same number of subs and is going to be a partner making him money.

    Moron.

  • Well, if I'm a moron, I'm a moron, but I still think you all take this stuff way to serious. If he already has like 20,000 subs and he is not a partner yet something is wrong. Also it should take him no time to get those subs back.

  • He IS a partner. That's the issue. It would take him ages to become a partner again, thus losing money. It's not just an ego thing. Plus it's a matter of principle. One cannot simply let little turds like "Paul Kent" get away with this shit.

  • Yeah its not like he had many videos or anything of importance on that old channel :/ *sarcasm*

  • Well, if so, he probably has those same vids on his hard drive and can just re upload them to the new channel. Or he can make some more vids. Don't get me wrong I like coughlan. I think he is cool. But like I said some people take this youtube too seriously. ITS YOUTUBE. ITS ONLY ENTERTAINMENT.

  • True, except that getting as many subscribers as he has isn't easy or trivial, and since he does stand up, entertainment is (or could be) his livelihood. Losing his channel would hurt his potential.

  • My friend , if you do stand up you usually go to a club and stand up an speak. His channel being shut down does not mean he can't go to a comedy club be funny as hell, and make money. If he is one he is really good. I watched a few of his vids earlier and they were funny. He has plenty of friends on youtube who have the same subscriber base as him and i'm pretty sure with them promoting him he will have all his subs back and more in no time. I hope his channel does not get closed though.

  • It's only entertainment when people's rights aren't infringed upon.

It's only fun when you DON'T have to work your way up from SCRATCH to get to where you SHOULD BE.

Once you put the WORK and EFFORT into it that the Dick has, or any YT partner for that matter, then it IS serious and it IS NOT "only entertainment".

Not to mention that YT partners do get paid based on the popularity of their videos...7 videos, hundreds of lost views on each one...

  • RIGHTS!!! This is youtube, their is no fucking as rights. This Is a privately owned social networking site. If youtube find something to be unacceptable on their site than they can take it down. Where do you get this rights shit from. It sucks that some loser reported this guy for whatever reasons and got his channel fucked, but like I said its not that serious. If I was in some of you peoples towns yall would hang me probably. Thats fucked up. Its NOT THAT SERIOUS.

  • Freedom of speech. Freedom of expression. Freedom of the press.

It's called the Bill of Rights. Or natural rights, if you want Non-american description. Private institutions CANNOT go above the GOVERNMENT.

And you obviously have no idea WHAT happened. "This guy" was reported on having HIS PERSONALLY-MADE VIDEOS claimed by "some loser" to be the "loser"'s videos. Which is PERJURY, WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW.

That's what's fucked up. That "some loser" LIED ON A LEGAL ISSUE to meet his ends.

  • Dude, all that goes out the window when you talk about privately owned corporations. Like youtube. You can walk down the street with your shoes off but you can't walk into mcdonalds with them off.

  • So slavery is acceptable because it is performed by a private institution?

That changes everything about the law. I'll have a pirate institution. Then I can rape, murder, steal, sell slaves, and do what I want because it's a privately-owned corporation.

  • Dude if it bothers you that bad then boycott youtube. If its like that. Just boycott don't come on youtube. Leave. See thats the beauty of it. You have choice not to use the network. What does slavery have to do with it. Youtube doesn't force anyone to use their site. Dude I'm through with you. You feel that my life isn't that serious which I do agree I don't take life as serious as you thats why I'm so cool. But I'm done with you. HAVE A NICE DAY.

  • You feel that the freedom of speech isn't that serious. You feel that the PRIVATE INSTITUTION is above the law, above regulation, and above the people who it claims to represent.

Slavery, by the same logic you have continually applied, is acceptable by your logic because it is done by a privately-owned institution.

Nike doesn't force people to buy their items. And the little store at the corner of my street doesn't either. Or any other PRIVATELY-OWNED INSTITUTION.

  • Even more fucked up is that you claim "Its NOT THAT SERIOUS."

You know what, neither is your life and it's infringing on my copyright to life so let's just terminate it.

    Your very logic, how's that.

  • Cool with Me My Friend.

  • Coughlans got tons of friends on here who can promote his new channel and have him back where he was in no time. I'm pretty sure he was not paying his bills off of youtube partner money. I know partners on youtube and they don't make as much as you think. Like I keep saying he can make a new channel. Its not that SERIOUS. Youtube is for fucking fun not all this bullshit people brings on here. This flagging and getting people vids taking down and war shit feuding shit on here is silly.

  • WHich is what coughlans channel is about. Having fun, not being so serious, and being silly.

  • Which shows that you are stupider than you first seemed. Coughlan is taking LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THE PERSON WHO FULFILLED THE FALSE "Copyright infringement notices", and yet it's "not serious"?

Really? Then why would legal action be done in response to legal action, if it weren't serious?

  • @formless, ok but why should he have to? Should I be able to deprive you of one of your activities, especially if it earns you money if you have done no wrong? What you seem determined not to realize is that there is an aspect of YT that is a money making venture. To do this to someone for childish giggles is about as wrong as wrong can be. Yes he can start over but why should he have to? What is to stop little minds from doing this to him or others again?

  • And if it happens again, just start over again. Like I said I hope it works out for him and he gets his channel back. But crying and belly aching, like all of you seem to be doing isn't going to help anything. Taking it seriously and showing the people that fucked him that your hurting isn't helping. You fuck people by doing even better than before not by showing that they have weaken you. And being so serious worried and pissed is crazy. THIS IS YOUTUBE!!!!!!!!

  • Ok it is obvious you see YT only as a form of entertainment. Got that. Why are you still crying and bitching about any concern people show for this situation.

  • Your right I should stop bitching and moaning. If you guys want to do I should not hinder your right too. Have a nice day ; ). It was just fun yesterday to fuck with you all and ruffle your feathers. Now Its lost its fun. See you all later.

  • This is how you have "fun"? Geez!

  • stupid false DMCA filers, hope it comes back to bite them and that it hurts real bad

  • This is crazy. Coughlan, or someone, should take a stand

  • Isn't it harder for a UK citizen to sue an american citizen such as Paul Kent?

  • Better than a mirror.

  • bumped via rating for teh great balanced justice that we be yearning for in deez dark youtube timez...

  • Admittedly, the law is broken because it assumes guilt (from what I understand) when a notice is filed.

Youtube's handling of that law with as applied to user accounts seems broken in additional respects, since it is more damaging to people heavily invested in their accounts than people using one-shots to perform actual infringement.

I would wish for some kind of mitigation in the case of people frequently hit with fraudulent DMCAs, yet I suspects the law prevents this. :(

  • Save us all.

  • Oh, I feel so sorry for Coughlan.

He looks so sad in his video. :(

  • I don't think YouTube was in on this. Coughlan was a partner, wasn't he? They wouldn't cut their revenue like this. I think they'll side with us.

  • what the hell is going on on youtube. good accounts are being fucked with left right and center

  • SAVE THE DICK WE LUV DICK

  • oh for fuck sake not this again. i would think this paul kent is going to be in enough trouble as it is, filing over 25 false dmcas (counting the ones against other users).

  • Doing my best to get YT's attention. Phone calls have left me dumbstruck by a circle jerk of massive proportions, so now I am emailing the shit out of any random email related to google or you tube as i can.

  • Fuck Paul Kent....

  • I've been saying this since I first got on YouTube. Flagging is way too easy! The person doing the flagging should have to give his/her reasons and be able to back them up. Believers in Free Speech have to stand up on this!

  • I agree with you, and this was exactly the problem that led to my suspension. But it's different with Coughlan, these are DMCA claims, which are separate from video flagging. DMCA claims are not YT policy but are actually copyright law.

  • Coughaln should sue or something, i bet DPR would do it for a discount

  • i sent it to the youtube channel maby that will help.

  • Save Richard!

  • Filing false DMCA claims is illegal. This "Paul Kent" is guilty of purgery if the claims are false.

Maybe speak to ThunderF00t? I can't remember the name of the guy that helped him in that case against PCS back when, but there was def. someone... (a lawyer, of course, hehe.)

  • Think that was DPRJone that you're referring to who helped tf00t.

  • I think you're missing an 's' on the end there, but yes, it sounds very familiar..

    Thank you :)

  • dprjones... ,but I think Coughlan don't have the money to pay a lawyer

  • Hmm.. then maybe tf00t would be so kind as to forward some of the info he needs, as he himself has gone through the situation?

Anyway, I still think he should contact tf00t about it, 'cause you get nothing if you don't try. :)

  • the link wasn't in the side . . . .

  • It is now.

  • Would it help to start a sock account and mirror his entire site? I have already mirrored Coughlan's vid, I can start downloading the rest if it will help.

  • ike417 says he is one of the fuckers on my channel.
