rhchilds. may you have a peaceful life and God Bless you. Can you expand further on your initial presentation? Did you have body wide twitches or was it confined to your arms? Did they do an EMG and at how long after the twitching did they do the first EMG? Thanks for generously sharing your knowledge and experience..
When you have these kind of twitches don't immediately assume it's ALS. It could also be BFS Benign Fasciculation syndrome which doesn't really do anything besides the twitches. Make sure to have it checked ou by a doctor.
@rhchilds No I'm sorry about the confusion, I wasn't talking about you but about people in general who experience twitches for the first time it's not necessarily malign.
Wow. Well starting about two months ago, I noticed twitching all over my body. One day my toe was curling and cramping which went away. Then my hand began...if I made a fist and let go, the palm and pinky would contract. That went away. Now I have twitches all over and sometimes little pains that come and go. I tried to write today and I couldn't get a good grasp. I'm so terrified.
ALS, a.k.a. Lou Gehrig's disease is a fatal disease with no known cause and no known cure. First symptoms were cramps, twitches in my arms and weakening hand dexterity
Is it constant? Or does it come and go? All the best!
