And what the clip doesn't show is that the kid ended up getting carried out of the cage and dumped in a room alone, the ref who was helping him found him and called an ambulance on his own cell.

I was a Ref who was supposed to Ref this fight. I refused to allow the fighter(the guy who was knocked out) to fight after I determined he was under the influence. He could barely walk into the ring. I even tried to talk to the other fighter and his corner pleading it would serve no purpose other than hurting this guy. I was over ruled by Management . In Iowa there is no Governing Body for MMA so this happens. Its a shame and disgusting in more ways than one.
I've been practicing Martial Arts for over 20 years now, never on a professional level though. Martial Arts are great because they build character and discipline. Incidents like these give Martial Artists a bad reputation all for the sake of Money.
