Thanks for the feedback. The planes are easy to assemble with the videos and the written instructions. We have had non flyers build the plane and have tried to include their feedback in the instructions to make it easier to build.
Great planes! These combine the great flying of a Slow Stick with excessive durability. With their increased mass, while retaining incredible slow flying characteristics these could become the default learner airplane. They are perfect now for people with help from an experienced builder.
You are a couple of steps away from reducing the Hobby Zone Champ and Hobby Zone Super Cub to #3 and #4 unassisted newbie airplanes. Great job!
We wanted a plane that truly could be built and flown by a beginner. A local university flying club reports that everyone who tried could fly this plane on the first attempt with very little instruction and that the "accidents" they saw did very little damage.
The E-Max CF2812 motor is on the plane in the video when the CG is being checked. Because of the angle of the motor mount and the prop not being on the motor it is hard to see. The motor and battery are the main part of the weight at the front of the plane. To prevent injury caused by an accidental throttle up during radio set up I leave the prop off until I am ready to fly.
