I have a 2010 model a bought new last year, one of the best investments ive ever made. This bike rides like no other, and ive tried a lot of bikes (mainly cruisers) anyone whos out there loking for a bike in this class, or most others too... you cannot go past the c50. First ride and youll see what i mean... go for it.
09 C50 owner here. Love it. Crazy cheap too. I've done a small amount of tinkering and parts swapping to make it sound, look, and comfort my buttocks better. Much more to go.
Have never done much research on the M50. The wife and I have done several 250 mile days on our C50. We could have gone farther. I've done several 500+ mile days on it. I guess the M is a little lighter and faster?? The C looks much better with a sissy bar, which my wife insisted upon for riding together. Have ridden some back roads pretty fast on the C50. It's not a GSXR, but it's not a slug either. I guess give me the C50 'cause my wife approves.
I own one also.... 2005 with 23,000 miles. Bought it new. Easy bike to live with. Only problem so far has been a blown 15 amp fuse last year. 5 minute fix. Don't listen to the folks who put aftermarket pipes on. They sound nice on Youtube, but they're too loud in person. (I have neighbors in my neighborhood... perhaps you do too). The bike is plenty fast if left completely stock anyway.
Looks identical to a Yamaha V star 1100 or 650, only diff is shape of the air filter cover.
