I know a lot of Filipino families, most are children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of th Fil-Ams that served in the US military during and after WWII. They're good people. I have yet to meet any that would put a patriarch or matriarch of the family in a retirement home. For Pinoys, family is everything.
