There is nothing wrong with spending money to save money in the long term. If I want to get healthy but I don't want the yearly costs of a gym membership I can spend a grand to buy a bowflex. It pays for itself in a year by saving money you'd spend at a gym. Obamacare is different. You are spending alot of money but you aren't saving by increasing debt compounded by interest. It's ALOT like making a huge purchase on a high APR credit card. Not to mention, costs are passed on to employers.
