Its hard to tell with the bad audio quality but on your goose it sounds like your staying too "rough" and growling too much. Its ok to mix in a little growling and raspy calling but if you wanna give your calls different pitches to sound like different birds,(and trust me you do) you need to open up your throat and put some air through it dont hold back so much. On your duck dont try to get too far a head of your level, your feed chuckle needs work, dont get frustrated and keep workin.

try a zink pc-1 its a cheap but good begginer call its only like 30 bucks through cabelas.. dont grunt into your goose call its not natural.. say 'UCK' and hum into the call try to keep your voice as low and raspy as possible..

here is what i have found. i have been blowing a double reed duck call for the past 7 years of my life and i have found that people can tell you all sorts of things to blow into a call but the only thing that will really work is what is comefortable to you. my advice is less grunting especially on your hail call. a little more advice is to sometime in the off season find some birds and sneak up on them and just listen to the way real birds sound and try to mimic them. works for me. practice.
That's the key. Learning how to control the air in a way that's comfortable to you, and most importantly, practice by listening to ducks. Since it might be hard to sneak up on ducks sometimes, I suggest the CD by Zink Calls,Ducks Gone Wild. It's basically recordings of ducks for you to practice with. That's what I learned with and I would swear by it. He's also right about your grunting. Only grunt at the beginning of your hails and on quacks. I urge you to get that CD. Good luck!Keep it up man!

Put your tongue to the roof of your mouth like you would say the word "Ten". Get pressure behind your tongue. I personally say "Duck" into the call with the pressure behind it. It's the pressurization of air that would be key. H#ll, buy Phil Robertson's "The Art Of Commanding Ducks" 1 & 2. It'll help ya out a lot.

youve got the idea of all the basic calls now all you need to do is speed it up. and with the goose call, your not quite breakin it over. in order to do this, i was taught to move your tongue to the roof of your mouth and keep a big mouth cavity.
your real low and slow with it i would speed it up a little and make more of a quack sound try to use your middle and index finger to make the quack better and work on the feed a little bit...i think the call has a little to do with the rasp is that a nag??

youve got the idea of all the basic calls now all you need to do is speed it up. and with the goose call, your not quite breakin it over. in order to do this, i was taught to move your tongue to the roof of your mouth and keep a big mouth cavity.

your real low and slow with it i would speed it up a little and make more of a quack sound try to use your middle and index finger to make the quack better and work on the feed a little bit...i think the call has a little to do with the rasp is that a nag??
