  • Allen, that was great, have you ever thought about making an album?

I'm sure I would buy one. I think I have watched pretty much all of your videos here on Youtube.

  • Excellent musical performance!

  • I'd love to do dueling pianos with Mr. Dale. I'd change my name to Al Overhill. Great Piano playing Allen!

  • Awsome!

  • @sonnyfly2 Thanks!

  • @Laudon1965 Thanks for the info. This IS both the Opening and ending songs from the Show.

  • It definitely doesn't sound like Allen is "playing with a catcher's mitt on"! Great job.

(AITF reference where Archie walks into Kelsy's Bar and Edith is playing piano. Archie makes a comment about "that guy sounds like he's playing with a catcher's mitt on", not knowing it's Edith)

  • @AshburnStadium LOL...thanks.

  • Allen Dale, Derrick here the 17 year old from sandusky Ohio I just love the way you play the piano I was wondering if you could play a song for me?.. It is named

  • @MaltShopOldiesBoy Dear Derrick, I don't know the Teardrops song, but I have posted My Melody of Love by Bobby Vinton on youtube. Thanks, Allen Dale.

  • I am only 17 and I love that show All In The Family so much I love the older time era people were so much more respectful back then very much so than today.

  • @MaltShopOldiesBoy thank you.

  • Great work Allen, as always. Just a question, who records these for you?

  • @matthmatthmatth My Friend Lenard Parr.

  • @allendale1962 Many of us are praying for Lenard's complete healing!

    Great Piano playing Allen!

  • @premium7957 Thanks.

  • Great playing Allen!! Little side note for fun, the intro to "All In The Family" was changed a little later in the series, and the words "Gee, our old LaSalle ran great" were slowed down and enunciated more clearly. My family, no doubt like many others, could never figure out what they were saying. Again, really enjoy your playing!! Thanks.

  • Those were the days!

  • you are a great artist. Thank you!!!

  • @mrjamiehorn You're welcome.

  • I like how you put the two songs together, the beginning and the ending of the show songs, who knows it may be one song for all I know. I love the show and I love your playing. I learn songs mostly by ear and I listen to some of your songs to learn new ones, all except the mini runs that you do and not near as good as you! have a good weekend

  • @allendale1962 " Archie and Edith " would be pleased with this one.You did an excellent rendition of their theme song.

Do you by chance have any tapes or CD's out ?

  • @MrSeansean1331 Thanks. I currently have no CD's or tapes available. Sorry.

  • Could you do this one again as a vocal version with you singing? :)

  • @UNCRatDog Maybe sometime in the future!

  • YES ALLEN!!! i can edith and archy sitt'n on the bench with ya!

  • You're welcome.

  • Do you ever tour? I also live in the Phoenix, Arizona area.

  • I seldom tour anymore. No clubs left that have piano bar. LOL.

  • YOUR A PRO, PLAY ME A TUNE?

  • What tune do you want to hear?

  • ALLEN, FOGGY MOUTAIN BREAK DOWN

  • ALLEN, PLAY ME A SONG.. YOUR A PRO..

  • I'm a new fan. You're the bomb! Time to start an Allen Dale fan club. Let us know if you are ever in the Phoenix, Arizona area. We would love to hear you play live. You are charming & delightful. We could name your new fan club the "Dale Lights!" Thanks for the memories.

  • LOL... thanks, and if you wanna start a fan site go for it! I'll talk y'all nearly deaf! LOL.

  • when you play it sounds like a church pianist at an old fashioned church which is my favorite style, cause its so bouncy and happy sounding. great job on all ur songs, and good singing too.

  • You're Welcome.

  • You could just picture being in an old time saloon listening to this....very well done Sir !

  • Thank you!

  • you are one of the few people in this world who are so into what they play they make the piano truly sing, someone who can bring out the absolute the best in any song

  • im trying to learn how to play the piano, and i can play this..not the WHOLE part..but just the chorus or summthin, and i play it on ALL black keys. i sumscribed 2 u. u might be able 2 help me play, a lil bit anywya. im 12 years old, and i got a 61 key keyboard/piano 4 christmas. i can play, this, lean on me, and silent night. i can only play the chorus on them all, though. check out my vids of me playin the piano, and see if u have any advise. any help or tips would be gretly apprecitated!!!!!

  • Honey, I went to your site and lisened for a bit. You pick up melodies pretty good for a 12 year old. I don't teach music as I am very challenged in reading music myself. Ask one of your teachers at school to help you read music, or get a good teacher locally. Best wishes! Allen Dale.

  • thank you So much!!! i really apprecitate that ;) and, i can read music. im just challenged w/ where the keys are on the piano. the ones i learned on @ school, have the keys labeled, but when i play at home im totatlly lost. i just pecked out the keys there. but thanks for our help. u play really well.

  • Just remember that if you find MIDDLE C evry 8th white note, counting mid C is a C! Works with every key on the piano. Start with middle C and count up... It goes C,D, E,F,G,,A,B,C thwn repeats akk over again.

  • badass man, spot, note for note.

  • thanks

  • Very nice.

  • thanks

  • You have a great amount of talent! Your performance of "All in the Family" is just as good or better than Roger kellaway's! The opening and closing themes of the show are two of my favorite piano songs of all time, so keep up the great work!

  • thank you!

  • Excellent Job! What kind of piano is that? It really has a great tone.

  • Thanks! The piano is a 1986 BALDWIN SPINET,

  • excellent job. Has this song ever been put on sheet music as originally played at the end of the show? If so I cannot find it anywhere. Maybe it was improvised and never written.

  • The song at the end of the show was titled Thinking of You, I am not 100% sure but I think Flod Cramer performed it. You Should be able to custom order it from any major Music store. IF not I guess, you'll have to take a bit of yime and learn it by ear like I did. thanks.

  • @mrrrks39 .. The sheet music has been transcribed, and it's on eBay. Search "Remembering You music"

  • Good job, this makes me want to go back and take more lessons....

  • thanks
