I see the women are wearing the Gauntlet chest guards too - by the time they played this game in the Army Vs Navy show they just had a bit of discreet strapping under their costumes.
@aquaplex2006 It's strange that the women were wearing the Gauntlet chest guards in Australia, as the women weren't wearing any type of chest guard in the UK.
The event's apparatus came directly from the UK after it got axed in the UK series in 1995 (Series 4) due to safety reasons. And that is not the music used in Joust in the UK series. That music was used for a UK exclusive event known as Pole-Axe, but only a few seconds of the theme was heard due to the event being over at 15 seconds or less.
@Kaynas1988 I only remember seeing 2 injuries from Joust, both involving contenders. One male contender got hit on the hand very hard by Shadow, causing his hand to not move properly and because it was the final event, he was not replaced by anyone, and a female contender hurt her back whilst facing Scorpio, and she was replaced as it was Event 3.
@Kaynas1988 And on Joust's final televised UK appearance, the only televised UK appearance to have the red and white skybikes, all of the matches resulted in draws.
@SouthParkFan273 Blimey, it has been to long since I watched UK Gladiators on TV, it's good job I can watch them on here although I prefer just to watch the intro's
@TheFaceEmperor That's right. Before the skybikes had a makeover, and the undercarriage of the skybikes being covered up, there were some losses of both contenders/challengers and Gladiators, and the skybikes weren't set in a pattern and bucked more violently then it was in the final UK appearance and the Australian appearance.

@SouthParkFan273 Wow, so we were the only ones to knock off a challenger with these skybikes then!
