  • my friend did beat that turbocharged cobalt with his stock 350z. but the cobalt isnt stock anymore. and yes there was a problem with the evo lol

  • The person who posted this video said it "a stock 350z beat the cobalt"! Somthing was definitely messed up with the evo! I knew there was no fucking way a Factory stock cobalt could do that! I seen the ss cobalts "barely" beat stock swapt b18 civics!

  • ummmm pretty sure you are not thinking bout the turbo cobalt.... it's the second fastest fwd stock track car in the world, and they are capable of mid 13's @104 stock...

  • I doubt the evo had problems,idk since I wasnt at the spot, but keep in mind that the cobalt is 240whp just like an evo except it has the fwd advantage on a roll and 600 lbs. lighter. So who knows.

  • Lots of people are finding out what the new turbo balt is capable of. Way faster than the sc. Read the lightening lap times and the road and track article. The balt spanks em all.

  • honestly, i believe the cobalt whooped the evo... i've had my cobat turbo since august and i ate an 05 sti with a turbo back and intake.. dont sleep on those new turbo cobalts

  • it DID whoop the Evo because the Evo was having problems ;) That cobalt is fast though Ill give him that, but my friend in his stock 350z (except for catback exhaust) spanked him from a dig and a roll.

  • i dunno bout that stock vs stock i put half a car on a 08 hr 350z from a 40-120 roll... maybe the cobalt driver isn't using no lift shift...?

  • N3cr0n0mIV, 15psi-20psi is stock boost on an evo X. 24 psi isn't even safe on the EVO X, and on top of that you have to be mad tuned to get there. I call BS on that.

    ohh and BTW GM's torque limiter on the GM is taken away when you add a tune so don't sweat it, you can still mod the car.

  • his wastegate actuator was sticking. and he had a boost controller of some sort on that EVO. either way it should have destroyed that Cobalt, had it been running properly.

  • maybe there was a problem with the evo...But then again theres no way you should have been pushing 24psi on stock turbo. I do agree an evo x though with bolt ons should roll a stock TC though.

  • Ya man defiatnely. I am going to try to make it up that way sometime soon over break. It depends on the weather as well. I got winter tires on the civic but it still doesn;t move like a subie in the snow.

  • hey sccobaltss look into a hahn ppc tuner. my tc puts 280whp and 310wtq to the front wheels with just that tuner. i have a 3in exhaust on the way also from hahn. check out itsxokayla you tube page. her balt makes some nut!!

  • ehh well too bad the ecu limits the cobalt t/c to 260 hp no matter what parts you put on. Until someone finds out how to override that cobalt t/c are stuck at 260. Bolt ons may make it sound nice but hp is staying the same.

  • Yes, MUCH faster than the older ones with the superchargers! I have a Stage 2 WRX and I think he would run right beside me, if not beat me. :-( Didn't get a chance to run him yet tho.

  • New evo somewhat heavy, obviously the cobalt ss has the advantage been light too, I still like the previous evo over the new one.

  • I agree, although this EVO X looked decent with the wheels he had on. Came to find his wastegate actuator was sticking while racing the Cobalt, so he was maxing out at 15psi :-(
