When it was new it cost around 70,000€ and it is faster on the Nurburgring than a Ferrari F430 by 5 seconds and the F430 cost around 170,000€ and the M3 CSL has 2 more seats and a big boot. The reason why it is more expensive than the regular M3 is because it is mostly made out of carbon fibre and other lightweight materials and it has better brakes (from the e39 M5), 17hp more, improved suspension, semi slick tires, carbon fibre airbox etc.

@enidxhoxhaj The radio and AC are optional. You can have them, but you have to pay extra (when it was new). And the boot floor isn't made out of "cardboard" but its made from honeycomp paper sandwich, which is much stronger and lighter than cardboard, it just looks like cardboard. And why would you even want a radio when theres an orchestra under the hood. This is a hardcore sports coupe it isn't made for comfort, but it's still not that stiff as you think.

If uve ever driven a csl with smg2 Ull find it works brilliantly,the software makes for faster changes,yes it's harsh,but it contributes to the whole csl driving experience in my opinion

Had mine 5 years now! It still feels amazing to drive,the sound of a csl is in incredible! U never ever tire of it! The best BMW ever made without a shadow of doubt!,that's if your looking for a big big adrenaline rush

What basically separates BMW M power from Audi RS power? Every day, when the workers go to the RS factory, men in grey suits and tube socks hand out tokens to the workers.
