I hear you, Nick. In todays world it's all about having a great house, car, expensive clothes and all that. And everyone is chasing after that. But in reality thats just a social construct. You get so caught up in work that you lose all happiness and forget about the simple things in life.
Luckily I'm in a position where I can take a long break from my career, which I will do next year.

A person has to do what makes him/her happy as this could be our one shot at life. I had a job waiting for me after I graduated high school. It was a very well paying job, if I had taken it and stuck with it I would have plenty of money today and a secure future. I opted not to take the job as I knew I would have been miserable in it and today I do not regret the choice I made.

@nickynik Yeah, as artist we are taught or even trained to keep "Your Eye on the Prize". In reality you have to ask one self, "What is the prize"? I think the prize is the ability to spend time with loved ones and everything else just falls into place.
