@alongthebluff Glory be to Him (Allah) who has brought this (vehicle) under our control though we were unable to control it. Sure, we are to return to our Lord.
i am 100% sure this is correct i know a little bit of this language
Maybe things have changed since I rode Iran air but let me tell you of my experience when I rode in '93. First off seat belts were optional (if there even were any). Little kids were constantly running up and down the aisle until they got a smack by the flight attendant which resulted in them hanging out on the floor next to me where there should have been seats (but wasn't due to embargo). Then an old lady complained it was cold so they jacked up the heat and cooked us alive!
@tsui06 Very poor and naive comment. Iran Air does not have bad safety record. Recent crash of Russian made planes is not related to Iran Air as it hasn't been the operator. You give me an example of a country coping with embargo of US and EU but still maintaining a 30 year old planes and fly them like first day ?! Do some research before commenting.
Someday Iranians will wake up and wipe that arabic cult clean from their land like the smear of shit it is. Fucking arabs and their child molesting so called religion are destroying the world.
@shayanshaffey no .. sell outs and self haters give it a bad name that includes mullahs shahi mojahedin mooft khoors vatan froosh and gharbzadeh self haters...
@lovereal4ever what are you basing this on? Iran has an amazing safety record and their maintance records are top notch! there are 70-80 year old dc-3's flying around, and look at UPS flying old dc-9's, do they fall out of the sky??
@lovereal4ever iran air planes are fairly old but very very well maintained iran air itself has a perfect safety record check. no seriouses crashes ever. the only planes that broke down in iran were the russian tu 154 the worst piece of shit ever created. those were not iranians fault, if u recall a tu 154 also fell in sweden so they decommisioned them other than that iran air is very safe and all the pilots were trained by us air force and nasa. iran is the last remaining place using 707 <3
@drake123josh Tupolev 154 was the fastest, tough & one of large builded & operated pax airplane, still in use, safe & airworthy of course if well maintained like any other aircraft. Hard to define it "worst piece of shit",your words demonstrate only your USA & western white bread typical arrogance & rudeness. If you just recall the DC-10 MD-11 that lose their engine(s) or also lose rear compartment by collapse due to perfunctory and faulty project...
@driver64 see the way i see it the boeing 707 and 727 have been involved in more incidents and accidents than the TU154. the only issue i have is there all classified as workhorses and have been around for many years now but based on recent news and the fact that many airlines and i beleive even russia have stopped operating this aircraft now i will be compairing this to other copanies and other aircrafts in its class. B727 Hawker Trident. 727 is still operatable with few fatalities. 707 is not

Iran Air Tours has had three fatal incidents since 1990, but Iran Air's last fatal incident was the shootdown in the 1980s

IranAir should scrap all american aircraft since sanctions prevent them from obtaining replacement parts for these planes of civilian use.
It's a nessacity for safety, not old politics
tarmac2001 2 years ago 4
Why would they do so? They are good at making replacement parts.
Vikkoman 2 years ago

Wow, they say a prayer before they fly. How appropriate if they're flying on their 30-year old 747-100s! :-D
Just kidding, that's a very good practice, actually. Though they should just skip to the safety vid after that
