  • this creeped me out as a child, something about seeing childlike things getting destroyed was terrifying, this chick better make a cameo in DNR

  • I love Michelle Pfeiffer's rendition of Catwoman. Slinky, sexy, humorous, and psychotic.

  • Pause at 2:46 she is using blue scissors and they turn pink.

  • When I see this seen, I can't help but feel sympathetic for poor Selina. I mean, she already had a bad life to begin with. Then that ashole has to go over there and try to kill her(Not that she knows it was him.) but, wtf!?

  • Glad she did it, her apartment was way so juvenile for a woman.

  • hell(o) (t)here.. <3

  • Michelle is so beautiful and this scene captures Tim Burton's genius brilliantly!!

  • la mejor Catwoman de la historia

  • best cat woman ever !:D

  • Because, I mean, who hasn't came home all dejected and dropped their keys on the floor, destroying their apartment and becoming an anti-hero in the process?

  • creepy she's like a zombie

  • All it takes is one bad day to reduce the sanest man alive to lunacy...

  • @poggymoose amen

  • Have you ever been so angry that you trashed your apartment, and then made a cat suit?

  • Anne rocks... but this performance was epic..

  • I really love Anna Hattaway, I really love Halle Berry, but no one can beat Michelle Pfeiffer in Catwoman!

  • i like the miss kitty part

  • haha this is my favorite scene of Catwoman! Love love love Michelle is so great!

  • She is so cool ;)

  • that what we called cazy woman

  • I don't get how Heath Ledger could win an Oscar and Michelle not even get nominated. I don't remember Heath as Joker playing any scenes of emotional trauma or breakdown. Michelle, in contrast, played everything in this role - frail, tormented, angry, resolved and finally fierce. Very rare that an actor can effortlessly go through these emotions, but she did it to breathtaking excellence.

  • how could they bring together those cats :D

  • I love this scene, although I always feel bad for the sock monkey.

  • Did anyone notice a drop of milk landed on the camera lens near the bottom left hand corner. 1:13

  • Look at her eyes...

That's why she's the best Catwoman ever...

Hattaway is not as wild as Michelle...

  • Anne Hathaway's a good actress, I just don't see her as badass. Certainly not on the same level of intensity as Michelle had here.

  • 3:18 Her face kind of looks like Keaton's there.

  • STAB THAT MONKEY IN THE ASS!

  • Hell here

  • no way anne hathaway is going to beat this.. pfieffer is best catwomen yet!

  • MEOW ♡♥ MILK!

  • It's a shame that there wasn't an Oscar in her tool kit box. She deserved one for this scene alone. Michelle Pfeiffer will go down in history as one of Hollywood's most legendary beauties and underrated actresses.

  • Queen Beauty brought me here(:

  • Oh, this is my favourite scene !!! :-) Tell me, which woman wouldnt want to be the catwoman ... :-)))

  • @Julienna

And to add to this comment, which man wouldn't want to be beat up by catwoman?

Batman is the perfect example. xD

  • Only Michelle Pfeiffer could have disheveled hair, be covered in blood, wearing white face makeup, smudgy eyeshadow, have milk dripping down her face, and STILL look totally sexy O.o

  • Amazing!

  • awesome so awesome kudos to Tim Burton and Michelle Pfeiffer

  • That was hell of a mental breakdown...

  • Amazing. She should have been nominated for something. Best Catwoman by far.

  • Hell Here

  • I hate the part where she murders her stuffed animals. Always makes me cry.

  • how cool wud it b 2 die and come back able 2 survive dying 9 times and able 2 do all kinds of acrobats?

  • this scene used to scare the hell out of me

  • I don't know about you miss kitty, but I feel so much yummier.

Pretty much my favourite line from the entire film.

Nobody will ever replace her as Catwoman!

  • @TotalleeBabyyee

What do you think of the new Catwoman? afterall Nolan's movies need her and she could be interesting

  • i hate cats

  • poor kitties

  • should have had michelle play CATWOMAN in 2004.. would have made the money they hoped for!, halle was just to fake for the part, lacked emotion and kittyness....

  • I always noticed from day 1 that "Hello There" was changed into "Hell Here" but I just started to think that that sign itself showed how lonely she was. I mean, aside from the pink walls, dollhouse, dolls, kitten t shirt, etc, Selina Kyle had a sign that lit out her window to strangers. I love these artsy details Burton put in. I also think he understands the human condition very, very well.

  • I think it's safe to say that despite the overwhelming success that The Dark Knight Rises will see, Michelle's performance will not be topped. Sorry, but she's that good. Michelle forever :D!!!!

  • Hmm. I don't understand why she destroyed all that stuff. It doesn't make any sense. Sure she was angry, but what good does ripping stuff apart and making a mess do?

  • @SohnvonChristus Its called a mental breakdown

  • "Hell Here"

  • its pretty weird for a grown woman to have all those stuff toys .. i bet she talks to them too

  • I know the Dark Knight Rises will make a ton of money but, Michelle Pfeiffer and Earth Kitt were the best actresses to play catwoman.

  • @Luvie1980 I couldn't agree with you more. I had begun writing a script for a Catwoman, with references to eartha kit and it. the look I envisioned it was Janet Jackson, just don't know she could act the part. Regardless of whether anyone would agree with my acting choice, I know that the script would have been solid! oh well, I guess I'll just have to settle with wholesome anne :(

  • @Luvie1980 check out the side video: the many faces of Catwoman Michelle Pfeiffer. Eartha Kit talks about her

  • @k2needja Cool thanks.

  • @Luvie1980

What about Andrienne Baumont on the animated show?

  • @Luvie1980

    Agree.

  • @Luvie1980 I can agree on that but I really want to see what Anne Hathaway will do with the character, We may all like it just as much... Oh and you forgot! Catwoman from the animated series which was just as well done as the two you mentioned!!

  • I bet all that was a bitch to clean up the following morning.

  • She was the real CATWOMAN

  • @HUGOPOPBRITNEY fuck yeah i know i love her

  • @HUGOPOPBRITNEY

What about Julie Newmar from the 60's show or Lee Meriwether or even Andrieene Barbeau from the animated show?

  • @HUGOPOPBRITNEY the one and only

  • She has MAD sewing skills

  • Selina was an innocent down to earth girl in this movie. Its reflected on the decor of her apartment. Pink walls, fluffy plush dolls, a doll house.Things like loosing her job, boss killing her, and other not explained reasons like a getting a call from her mom which means she didnt have a good relationship with her. And finally the mere sound of the message left in the answering machine about the dinner for two.TORE HER IN HALF!She destroyed everything of what she was to be someone new! I cry!

  • I know the feeling...I'm a phsycotic maniac myself

  • No dialogue?

  • I understand how she feels.

  • that's right selina, fuck christmas!!

  • Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman, Halle Berry, sorry but no

  • This is my favorite Batman scene!

  • Why is she gone mad?

  • i wants 9 lives too >:()

  • my dream is lose my mind like this :D

  • @spreadoutguy A cameo of Michelle in Batman the dark knight rises would be AWESOME!

  • I was not allowed to watch this at 6 because it was deemed too graphic :)

  • she owns batman!! best comicbook female perfomance!!!

  • I hope they show a scene like this in the new Batman movie.

  • This was my favourite movie ever when I was 5 years old in the 90's. my mum only let me watch it occasionally after much convincing because of how dark it is.

I will definitely download it and re live the memories

  • i LOVE 3:37 when she tries it on the 4th finger and then opts for the pinky. its THAT kind of nuanced subtlety that makes this so believable while being obscenely implausible.

  • Shes totally the best catwoman ever..i love her.

when i was 4 i wanted to be catwoman when i grew up..

    i still kind of do..

  • frying pans: who knew/

  • other person: um there is a minor disturbonce comin from the apartment next to mine

  • @hazzainius

I have always wondered that myself. Either no one lives in the building, they were out on the town that night or afraid to call. In real life she would have been put in the nut house if she got caught doing this

  • I don't know about you ms kitty but I feel mmmmmm so much yummier

  • @EdTV20 She didn't win an oscar for this but she won something better, the respect and love of millions of people in the whole world.

How many roles that wond the oscar are forgotten, but Michelle's catwoman will be in the spotlight forever.

  • She should have won an Oscar for this role

  • Comment removed

  • @Messylin Granted Michelle Pfeiffer is a legend, but I wouldn't sell Heath Ledger short like that. He was amazing in his own way. Also, I find it interesting that lots of people call male actors by their last name and female actresses by their first.

  • @SouliaBoy i've always thought of that. in middle school, ALL the guys called each other by their last names, and the girls by their first names...... its probably some machismo thing.

  • 1:43 to 1:50 THIS IS WHAT YOUR FAMILY GOES THROUGH!! AND YOUR JOB! AND YOUR MONEY! AND YOUR FRIENDS! AND YOUR SELF-RESPECT AND YOUR FUTURE!!!

    any questions

  • lets see if Anne Hathaway can top this....

  • all i can say is, it's better than the new-er catwoman.

  • I'm sorry but this, puts Heath Ledger's joker to shame.

Really, one of the finest villain performances of history!

Shame on you academy Awards for not recognizing Michelle!

  • I love how she deforms the sign to say "Hell Here" instead of "Hello There" LOL

I LOVE CATWOMAN best villain of all time and Michelle Pfeiffer is THE Catwoman.

  • @MrSapphire Hey i never noticed that xD

  • my FAVOURITE scene of ANY movie of ALL TIME

  • 3:18 That face looks like Michael Keaton!

  • Did anyone notice when she changed the pink tagline in her apartment from "HELLO THERE" to "HELL HERE"? Thought it was freaking awesome...

  • She took crazy catlady to a whole new level.

  • I like the bit where she, like, kills the teddies. :D

  • one of the best batman movie because of my favorite villian

  • its funny i remember watching this when i was little and after i saw this scene i went in my room and started tearing it apart like she did lmao and got in so much trouble.

  • @ldlubak LMFAOOOO

  • @ldlubak haha thats great

  • I wonder what the neighbors thought...?

  • once i did this and got in to trouble

  • "honey im home" "ohh i forot,im not married" LOL

  • @BetterthanBunnies finally i know i'm not alone

  • She was amazing as Selina

  • A full outfit from one single jacket - She should try out for Project Runway.

  • Brilliant scene. Michelle Pfeiffer is the ultimate Catwoman.

  • @FlavioSousa35 I don't think that the ultimate Catwoman exists yet. Michelle Pfeiffer can't be called the ultimate Catwoman for two reasons: One, like Bruce Wayne, Selina Kyle trained for years to become who she was. She didn't just suddenly become capable of doing backflips in stiletto heels overnight. Two, Selina Kyle is many things; theif, criminal, vigilante, seductress, heroine, Bruce Wayne's love. But one thing she definitely isn't......is blonde!

  • @44excalibur lol someone hasn't read the comic books...

In this movie she gains a cat's agility, strength, and 9 lives when she

was brought back to life, she wasn't already a master thief though.

Also, Selina kyle had blonde hair and green eyes in both this movie, the comic books,

& the animated series. However, she cuts her hair short and dyes it black.

  • @drakanoid12 Sorry, but I HAVE read comic books. Selina Kyle NEVER had blonde hair or cat-like super-powers in the comics. Arguing comics with me is like arguing physics with Stephen Hawking....don't try it. Selina Kyle had blonde hair in the early 90's animated series because Michelle Pheiffer had just played her in 'Batman Returns' and they were trying to correspond to the movie. But Catwoman has always been dark-haired in the comics. Actress Hedy Lamarr was her original inspiration.

  • This scene is intense. Catwoman will always be the best comic book character of all times.

  • 1:28 NOT THE SOCK MONKEY!!!!! D:

  • Sorry, but Michelle's Catwoman makes no sense at all. Does anyone have an explanation for why Selina Kyle can get thrown out of a window and land in a alley, and then magically go from shy secretary to a leather-clad superheroine who can do multiple backflips in six inch heels in a single night? In the comics it took years of training for Selina to become Catwoman.

  • @44excalibur she was always treated coldly at work and from her parents and the only kindess she got was from street cats so when poor inocent selina get shoved out a window she dies, until the cats some how bring her to life!

so in other words when the cats bought her to life her anger wakes up as well

so it revenge on those who dare to cross her or who already have crossed her

  • @JustJordan249 But you fail to see my point. You still failed to explain how this Selina Kyle magically obtained olympic-level athleticism and martial arts skill having had no prior training by simply falling out of a window. It's established in the comics that both Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle are normal human beings with no powers who trained hard to become what they are, yet this scene suggests some mysticism involved with Selina becoming Catwoman which is inconsistent with the characters.

  • @44excalibur similar thing was in the catwoman movie too...i always wondered how patience philips got those skills and reflexes so easily..

  • @VarunMehtasWorld Yeah, but the Catwoman movie has nothing to do with the Batman universe. Patience Phillips is not Selina Kyle, and Halle Berry's Catwoman is not the same one from the Batman comics, so that movie doesn't matter. And from what I understand, Patience Phillips got her abilities from an Egyptian cat-god, so she has more in common with Isis than Catwoman. The fact that she's superhuman disqualifies her from the Batman universe.

  • @44excalibur Dude it's a movie...they can't show hours and hours of her training and no movie is going to be exactly like the comics! But you have to admit she was one of the best if not the best Catwoman to date, even if she is blonde.

  • @mina19951 They didn't show Bruce Wayne's years of training in Tim Burton's movie either, but they also didn't have him become Batman overnight. And they can at least try to come close to the comics by introducing Selina as already being Catwoman from the beginning, instead of her being Max Shreck's secretary. And Michelle has dyed her hair for roles before, so i don't see why she couldn't have done it for this one, and Val Kilmer in the third one as well.

  • I wonder if she had to clean the house after all...

  • I wonder if.....in order to do this scene, or in doing this scene Michelle Pieffer really did have a Mental breakdown, It's the only way to explain her incredible performance in this scene! Just kidding!

  • Wow....im just blown away by Michelle's performance in this scene, she does the whole "Mental Breakdown" with such intensity and realism!

  • hahahaha one of the best freak out moments in movie history, never fail to amuse me! I wish I could do that when I freak out...

  • Dark, so dark

  • Michelle is the best Catwoman ever! no one can compare to her performance as Ms. Selina Kyle...Anne will suck because there will only be one catwoman in my eyes and thats Michelle P.

  • @ahhman100 Julie Newmar > Michelle Pfeiffer

  • @krazyboyle1

What about Miss Beaumont on the animated show? her voice

  • i always saw her smash the sign on the wall i never realized untill now she changes the message fro "hello there" to "hell here"

  • 10 people work for Shreck's Dept. Store.

  • Happens every FUCKING night when the gf comes home.... I watch this scene sometimes so I know what to expect.

  • She makes milk look good, kinda wanted to drink some when I seen her chug the carton lol

  • lol that would be funny if the landlord was like standing in the open doorway after all that and is like

"Umm.......So do you have the rent?"

  • That's My fav. movie xD

  • My gf turns into Catwoman about 10 times a day.

  • HELL HERE

  • her whole story line made me love this movie the Best out of all the batman movies. This movie had so much more emotion and depth than the other batman movies

  • This is by far the UNHAPPIEST comic book movie ever. I love it!

  • @vipersquad

What about Sin City, Watchmen, Ichi The Killer, Oldboy etc.? other awesome unhappy comic book movies

  • I just noticed, for a very split second just after she spray-paints over that pink shirt, after opening her wardrobe. When she tears down the shirt, there's a black scarf hanging up behind it, which she looks at for only a second. Her like is like - ".......Black" - then she goes straight for the outfit. Aw wow. Tim, I'm so amazing that this tiny things you put in, and for Michelle making it so subtle! Wow.

  • I wanna flip out like this sometimes...I bet it must've felt amazing performing this scene. I always thought it was so beautiful that the stitches in her costume were to represent her emotional self being torn apart and Selina having to stitch herself back together again. Kudos to the costume designer! This is *the best* Catwoman costume and the most real, emotional version of Catwoman herself. If only Tim would've made a movie about her after this. It would've been so thrilling.

  • this was my favorite scene in the world when i was a kid. i used to wanna cry when i watched her lose it and at the same time i thought she was so badass

  • This part always scared the shit out of me when I was a kid!!!!!
