I agree with Russell Means when he speaks of a ime when we were a producing nation. When I was in my 20s you could find a job locally making something or find a production job somewhere without needing a degree. But all but a few production jobs have gone to CHINA! We don't make anything in this country anymore! I see it eveyday, we spend our money on goods made in CHINA and THEY become richer and we keep giving it away. How will our economy get better if we give more away than we take in?

I don't follow the indian politics though I should... I don't follow politics in general very much... very frustrating and I am trying to stay in a peaceful place. But I do feel that in this instance I need to speak my heart.. in the Christian (and I'm not one) bible it says something in the order of "even good wine can come from a cracked vessel." I've never had any shame in eating government issue food either. I was always glad to get it.But, I am jealous. I never got any meat.All we got was Gov cheese, peanut butter, powdered milk, dried beans, and some wilted Kale. I still don't know how to make kale into a meal!!!!What the heck is kale suppose to be anyway?!!!!lLOL!

Why? Don't ask me. Thankfully, I don't have to rely on gov issue anymore. My brother is a vegan;he uses kale. I really don't know what he does with it. I forgot to mention that sometimes, we got eggs, too. It would seem like a holiday when that happened. Btw, I wasn't on a reservation. I was ward of the court when I was a kid. When I left the fostercare system, I was still in high school. I had nothing.I had to get gov issue.But,I was happy to have it.

The sad thing is legally these natives probably do have a good standing for their own independant nation. Unfortunately, with extremists like Russell Means at the forefront it will never go anywhere.
