After my brother passed away we got so many flowers we didn't know what to do. The sentiment is appreciated but try to be more creative. There was never too much food no matter how many dishes we got. My mom never felt up to cooking so lasagnas,casseroles, and other meals are more practical than muffin baskets. Especially weeks later after condolences stopped coming. I really appreciated a tree starter kit, with seeds and instructions. Or potted plants because they stay alive when your done.
