  • Great

    Friedhelm

  • this never fails to move me. Beautiful.

  • Keith Jarrett and this song are a one thing indivisible .. I can not imagine in my mind no other musician for this song

  • A true mother-fucker of a pianist.

  • keith is a wonderful pianist , i love his music .he's the best because he listens to his music . if you cant hear it that's because your stupid or jealous . im sure deaf people can feel it and im sure they love it , thanks keith from perico ..RGA

  • hey if anyone knows the sheet music for this version please tell me where i can find it...... im playing for the senior citizens home in a month or so and i know they would love it :)

  • Hey longswimcoocoo..you've got the right screen name. You're a retard. Poetry!? Whack-job.

  • if you feel the need to comment in the first place... you've lost the poetry. You get something from it or you don't, either way it doesn't matter...It just is.

  • Every time I need a laugh, I watch this nut. I love the playing, I bought his sheet music to this but COME ON PEOPLE...he's NUUUUTZ!

  • One shouldn't dismiss him just because of the facial expressions. If his expressions distract the music instead of adding to it, fine, but listen to the music itself first. It would be a great loss if we ditch a guy just because of his excessive facial expressions. Just because one pianist can do the same thing without inappropriate facial expressions doesn't subtract from this guy's talent at all.

  • @bwonderve yeah, i apologize. It's possible. Oh, what the hell, fuck you dickwad.

  • @bwonderve yeah. Fuck you, you're obviously a screwball too.

  • @bwonderve fuck you retard. Your stupid retort proves you're as big an asswipe as this spas. Eat shit douche-bag.

  • And people are complaining about Lang Lang? The face expressions in mind. Though, Jarret is a fantastic musician.

  • The time to applaud is when you are moved by the music. I forgot how much good music Keith makes. He gets a good tone out of the piano and he is actually more creative than Chick Corea who I just said was the most creative. He uses a lot more unusual intervals and larger intervals in both hands and between hands. If you don't understand this music it might be because you don't know what you are listening to. You will need take a course in ear training from a local music teacher, college or univ.

  • @eurotutu Thanks. I just don't get all these retards that think this is just because he's "a gifted artist and is into his music." Bullshit. look at all of the other more gifted talents...they don;t act like this crazy bastard. But, I'll give him props, he's good.

  • His level of creativity is so far over your head you will simply never understand. There are very few people in the world like him, there are countless millions of uneducated, ignorant people like you.Good luck getting through life.

  • its my impression or this people dont know the time to clap hands ??? ¬¬

    in the middlle...this sux ¬¬

but this version is one of the bests i ever heard of this music...being he a drama queen or not... i really likes this music...

  • He's rather overselling this. It's not Rach's Third. Still, nice tune.

  • He never sold it as Rachmaniniov. You made a dumb comment.

  • Wonderful! Thank you for posting this!

  • Between 3:27-3:56, he made contact with the man up above. Simply magnificent!

  • A terrific tune...played with grace and respect. I know Keith could have overplayed on this tune...but yet he remained gracious to the melody.....a sign of a GREAT artist.

Thank you Keith and Inblue77 for posting this beatuiful video

  • I saw Keith Jarrett live when he played with the great Charles Lloyd quartet back in 1968 ( I was like 11 years old). he was fantastic! Idiots like homerboy488 should keep quiet and stay home listening to their Brittany Spears cd's. He apparently doesn't understand the genus of Jarrett.

  • He's Feeling the music why would you disrespect a famous musician like that? Some musicians speak or sing while they play some show facial expressions or they might do other things. Anyways.......Have you even heard Keith's song "Starbright"? That might be a song that might catch your ear

  • I have to agree. Keith Jarrett is ok to listen to, but what a drama queen ... It really spoils the fun. But then again, he's not the only one.

Still, a very nice rendition of an all time favourite of mine. And refreshing too.

  • to ibbyron below--the twists in the tempo and melody are subtle and some of the most exquisite I've ever heard in a lifetime of listening to jazz.

  • Sublimely poignant, Man becomes Music, merges with the Higher World

  • very nice and unique playing...kud anyone pls tel something about the player?

  • This had to be after he played all night and was just tired out. There's little if any improv here. I was yearning for a twist in the tempo or melody, but nothing much, really.

  • This is an Encore to the concert that is showed on DVD called "Last Solo" (which thankfully wasn't the last).

Probably one the finest interpretations of that song around, along with the one from the La Scala concert (which was not video-recorded).

I'm talking here but actually there's just nothing to say as such a piece speaks for itself.
