i think this episode answered us lot of questions..1st we now know that it wasn t jacob who said to john 'help me' but the other guy at the beggining of this episode..2nd when we see jack s father, christian, or walt when john was on the hole we actually see again the other guy who to me i think is the island itself..
anyone knows why whitmore is going to leave the island? i just come to the idea that whitmore turns the timeloop so the losties return to the present, and he will be expelled for doing that.

we see jack operating on a girl and his dad tells him to count to 5 then he gos to the vending machine but its broken so he cant get anything . than jack is talking to his dad saying that embarrassed hi. and then we see Jacob giving jack a candy bar from the broken vending machine then he leaves.
now Jacob is reading a book on a bench and behind him we see john getting pushed out of the window and he is dead but Jacob brings him back by just touching him so that's how john "survived" being pushed out the window by his dad
Sayid was walking down the street with Nadia and ways about cross the street until Jacob asked him a question witch stop him from crossing but Nadia still started to cross but then she got hit by a car witch killed her

In answer to your question of the week, the latest OFFICIAL Lost Podcast reveals that the Comicon video was setting up for a story which ran into financial issues. Basically the writers have told us in the Podcast to pretty much ignore the video now.
Based on the way Pierre Chang looks when he encounters Hurley, Miles and Jin it looks like he has already had the conversation with Daniel. Look at Chang's face and how he regards the trio.
Will He come back ? Will he make TIME when times goes in a loop again? The Oceanic6 died in 1977. How will they come back or forward to the present time? I believe that John has seen the eye of the island, and is course correcting like Smokie
People who die or are murdered on the island remain as a spirit. eg. Alex, Jacob, and others , don't remember just now who else there are alot more. Especially Hurly who seems to see them. Ben was surprised and frightened to see John back as a person..This had never happened before. John I believe can navigate the island to it's proper place once he deals with his enemies..Jacob is not an enemy, only a symbol of power to Ben, And I believe that John will prove that to the people
I believe that the voice that we heard in the cabin when Ben and John went to visit Jacob was really John's. That's why John said to Ben.."You really haven't seen him,,have you ? " to Ben. Richard I believe seems to be involved in the dark side, but ISN'T I think he is taking notes from both sides, but is neuteral. I don't understand why people think 815 will land in L.A. if they "fix things". It was clearly stated that they lost radio contact and were 1000 miles off course so how could they?

how about daniel somehow travelled back into the past-future , which is the current present, 1977, and filmed Chang's video before he died, for some reason? i mean, he probably knew he was gonna die in the explotion of the h bomb... so in case something went wrong, he made sure he had taped that video after Chang accepted he was from the future... which he hadn't explained yet but knew he will later-before.. do you get what i mean?

On the Comicon video; Just wanted to point out that Changs wife and kid left on the same sub that Sawyer, Kate, and Juliet left on and we have already seen them back on the island in the next episodes previews. So the sub, changs wife and baby all come back. Also we already know that Daniel did a fair ammount of time travel so there is no reason to believe that just because he died hours ago that him from the past doesn't still come into play in the future to record the video.
damon and carlton said in this weeks podcast that the comic con video was part of a plot which they didnt end up doing, instead they sent daniel to ann arbour. so they said its not considered canon. a bit disapointing!
I figured as much! The first part of my comment was going to speculate that the comicon vid was seperate from the show and therefor never HAD to be directly connected but ran out of characters! Thanks for clearing up my speculation.

i also have to point this out. If what Jack says is true, then the losties will never tell the others to bury the bomb and there for the bomb will destroy the island in the 50s.
Good point, if the incident doesn't happen, there is no button and no annomolly that allows Widmore and Penny to notice the island and no annomolly that crashes Flight 815. Therefore the freighter doesn't come to the island, Daniel doesn't tell the others to bury the bomb so there is no bomb to stop the incident from happening 20 years later in 1977. Which means it all didn't matter and Oceanic 815 will crash again...I think, there's probably a few details missing.
ever since we found out about the hydrogen bomb, ive thought that the fail safe key detonates it, but ive always thought that hyrdogen bombs are stronger than that

1. Somebody has theorised that the John Locke we're seeing is actually Smokey. This is because Locke's personality has drastically changed and even Richard knows there is 'something different' about him. They also suggested the 'real Locke's' body is in the metal box Illana & Bram are tending to. After all Ben said "Believing it and seeing it are two different things".

hey losties. ok i didnt hear anyone address a KEY fact, there are 2 compasses now. Locke asked for the compass back from richard, because he knew he was going to give it to him when he flashed out of the jungle and didnt want richard to have 2 of them. i wonder if the 2 compasses cant come into contact? or maybe they can and it doesnt matter. ... see my next post for another perhaps meaningless point
The one thing i can thnk of regarding the compass is that the compass was a tool to show us that one item (or person) can be looped around within a time frame. Richard gets the compass in the 50's from Locke, later on Richard gives it to shot in the leg John and back again.

To elaborate more on this hypothesis, I believe that Jacob is just a created/invented character by the "Evil Team" in order to manipulate people and to achieve some (individual) goals which would keep (ordinary) people away from the truth.
Who invented this Jacob? Is it Richard?
As a conclusion, in order not to maintain manupulating and keeping whoever came to the island LOST, the "Good Side" should proove the fakeness of stories like Jacob's.
And when you listen to Locke's and Ben's conversation, which was taking place right at that moment, we could come up with the idea that Locke does not believe in the existence of Jacob because the island never told him about his location. For the Island has been telling Locke things, but never where Jacob is. It becomes obvious then that Locke belongs to the "Good Side", i.e. "Island Side"; while Ben, who has never heard from the Island, belongs to the "Evil Side"; "Jacob's Side".
I suppose that if Richard belongs to the "Evil side", he must be lying about watching the others all die; and then the idea "what happened happened" remains still effective.
I think an important point to remember, and obviously we can't say for sure until next week's episode plays, but I think Sawyer, Kate and Juliette (or whoever ends up getting off the island in 1977) will be responsible for causing everyone's lives to intersect the way they have leading up to flight 815 in 2004.
Well i might be able ot explain lara and miles. Sawyer, Juliet and Kate come back to the island as you said for an unknown reason this probably meant that something happened to the sub and they had to return. As for Dan... i dont know maybe we're just hearing wrong and its not Dan after all. I would like to believe he's coming back but i dont know how you could do that in a plausablie way.
I just read somewhere, I forget where (maybe on darkufo) that the producers have officially named the comic con video a continuity error. I think they just didn't really see it as an integral part of the show and forgot about it until the bitching began.

You know how the people on that island that crashed on the Ajira flight have that box that is going to be opened next week? My theory is that Widmore is in that box. And the "I saw them die" refers to the Dharma Initiative in general, not Kate Jack and Hurley in general.

What they could always do is 'ret-con' it, and say "Oh, perhaps that's what happened originally, before they went back, and when they DID try to change things, it course corrected itself, and thus no video, same fate."

The monster is the island, and if John has been talking to the island he must have been sneaking off to talk to Smokie. John is the black smoke's drone. Richard doesn't want anyone to see Jacob and is plotting to make this happen. Why? because Richard's twin is Jacob. The only time we see Richard different is when he
talks to young Ben, right around the time young Ben is shot. Richard has long hair. That was Jacob, and if Jacob is Richard's twin, then that would explain why he wants to avoid anyone seeing him as well as the fact that he can speak for Jacob. If John is a drone then Christian must be as well. Christian as the monster wanted Locke to bring everyone back. Why? no idea.

Jacob asks Locke for "Help" in their first meeting. Maybe the only way that Locke can help Jacob is by killing him and liberating him from the position he is carrying right now - Locke is substituting Jacob in every aspect.
When has John ever said he knew who Jacob was? I think that was the point of the "has anyone ever seen him" speil. Locke is going to see him and he will be shocked as we all will be as to who Jacob is. Jacob could even be John, but the fact still remains that no one has seen him.
I don't think that it was Faraday behind the camera. I just watched it again and i don't think it sounds like him anymore. Do you think that Chang could have filmed it between his conversation with Hurley and the scene at the sub?
1- where is it from : since we know that John gave it to Richard to give it to his past self to give it to Past Richard to give it to him in the future and start the cycle again
2- when John asked for the compos in episode 15 Richard said that it's a little rusty so that means that Richard will give Past John a rusty compos and Past John will give Past Richard a rusty compos and Past Richard will give john a rusty compos and it will get rustier
#2 could be a very good point maybe the writers had richard say it got rusty just so we would know its not a cycle and that this is the first time its ever happend.

I know its been going on since the very beggining of lost and some ppl think that its the dharma warning the losties or hearing it before the smoke monster taking a form of someone (example jack's dad). how is that even possible if even ben as a child heard the whispers?

People who die or are murdered on the island remain as a spirit. eg. Alex, Jacob, and others , don't remember just now who else there are alot more. Especially Hurly who seems to see them. Ben was surprised and frightened to see John back as a person..This had never happened before. John I believe can navigate the island to it's proper place once he deals with his enemies..Jacob is not an enemy, only a symbol of power to Ben, And I believe that John will prove that to the people

I believe that the voice that we heard in the cabin when Ben and John went to visit Jacob was really John's. That's why John said to Ben.."You really haven't seen him,,have you ? " to Ben. Ben said " Dead is Dead" Ben knows differently. Ben has never seen or heard Jacob, that is why he wanted to kill John.
Jack is now becoming a person who believes, but still wants to put an end to the island . Vincent is a Dog.... Kate is looking for Love, but has not forgiven her FATHER.

There are alot if not too many layers in the story to get a complete handle on it. I believe that Ben is like a toothless tiger, wanting to attack but is powerless. Richard I believe seems to be involved in the dark side, but ISN'T I think he is taking notes from both sides, but is neuteral. John is on the light side and has become the ONE who will set time and war in balance, even if he has to kill the enemy. I do not believe the enemy Jacob exists as a person, but is dead .

Actually pal Theorys are thoughts based upon events and happenings in the show you turd, if they were fact they would'nt be theorys... I take it back this is my ultimte theory "you maybe just jealous im onto somthing!".. I believe that being resurected enables u 2 see jacob coz obviously we know John and Christian can see him and they were dead when they a brought to the island.
The resurected body remains the same age as it is when you die, because you are not alive means you cannot age.

how about daniel somehow travelled back into the past-future , which is the current present, 1977, and filmed Chang's video before he died, for some reason? i mean, he probably knew he was gonna die in the explotion of the h bomb... so in case something went wrong, he made sure he had taped that video after Chang accepted he was from the future... which he hadn't explained yet but knew he will later-before.. do you get what i mean?
so the daniel in the video would be a dead daniel.

On the Comicon video; Just wanted to point out that Changs wife and kid left on the same sub that Sawyer, Kate, and Juliet left on and we have already seen them back on the island in the next episodes previews. So the sub, changs wife and baby all come back. Also we already know that Daniel did a fair ammount of time travel so there is no reason to believe that just because he died hours ago that him from the past doesn't still come into play in the future to record the video.

Good point, if the incident doesn't happen, there is no button and no annomolly that allows Widmore and Penny to notice the island and no annomolly that crashes Flight 815. Therefore the freighter doesn't come to the island, Daniel doesn't tell the others to bury the bomb so there is no bomb to stop the incident from happening 20 years later in 1977. Which means it all didn't matter and Oceanic 815 will crash again...I think, there's probably a few details missing.

1. Somebody has theorised that the John Locke we're seeing is actually Smokey. This is because Locke's personality has drastically changed and even Richard knows there is 'something different' about him. They also suggested the 'real Locke's' body is in the metal box Illana & Bram are tending to. After all Ben said "Believing it and seeing it are two different things".

hey losties. ok i didnt hear anyone address a KEY fact, there are 2 compasses now. Locke asked for the compass back from richard, because he knew he was going to give it to him when he flashed out of the jungle and didnt want richard to have 2 of them. i wonder if the 2 compasses cant come into contact? or maybe they can and it doesnt matter. ... see my next post for another perhaps meaningless point

The one thing i can thnk of regarding the compass is that the compass was a tool to show us that one item (or person) can be looped around within a time frame. Richard gets the compass in the 50's from Locke, later on Richard gives it to shot in the leg John and back again.

To elaborate more on this hypothesis, I believe that Jacob is just a created/invented character by the "Evil Team" in order to manipulate people and to achieve some (individual) goals which would keep (ordinary) people away from the truth.
Who invented this Jacob? Is it Richard?
As a conclusion, in order not to maintain manupulating and keeping whoever came to the island LOST, the "Good Side" should proove the fakeness of stories like Jacob's.

And when you listen to Locke's and Ben's conversation, which was taking place right at that moment, we could come up with the idea that Locke does not believe in the existence of Jacob because the island never told him about his location. For the Island has been telling Locke things, but never where Jacob is. It becomes obvious then that Locke belongs to the "Good Side", i.e. "Island Side"; while Ben, who has never heard from the Island, belongs to the "Evil Side"; "Jacob's Side".

I think an important point to remember, and obviously we can't say for sure until next week's episode plays, but I think Sawyer, Kate and Juliette (or whoever ends up getting off the island in 1977) will be responsible for causing everyone's lives to intersect the way they have leading up to flight 815 in 2004.

Well i might be able ot explain lara and miles. Sawyer, Juliet and Kate come back to the island as you said for an unknown reason this probably meant that something happened to the sub and they had to return. As for Dan... i dont know maybe we're just hearing wrong and its not Dan after all. I would like to believe he's coming back but i dont know how you could do that in a plausablie way.

I just read somewhere, I forget where (maybe on darkufo) that the producers have officially named the comic con video a continuity error. I think they just didn't really see it as an integral part of the show and forgot about it until the bitching began.

When Kate was shot, I agreed with you. I wish she would die JUST for the storyline that would come from it.
Also, I did say 'Awkward' during that scene.
Although, how do we know the island isn't your 'dark' side... Perhaps Locke is being mislead down the path of evil. Perhaps Ben this whole time has been fighting for the 'light' side, only doing dark things to defend it. REblown.

What they could always do is 'ret-con' it, and say "Oh, perhaps that's what happened originally, before they went back, and when they DID try to change things, it course corrected itself, and thus no video, same fate."
Or, they could just say it wasn't Daniel, & Chang makes this video right before we see him kicking his family onto the sub. Either way, the between season stuff should always be taken with a grain of salt. Because evidently, the two rabbits could've seen each other just fine.

When the monster judged Ben, it turned into alex and said 'follow Locke or be destroyed.' The monster wants Jacob dead and from Mr James' video the island wants Jacob dead as well. Kyle, you seem alittle to literal. If anything, the monster WORKS for the island, but even then, I'm not sure the monster really works for anyone or thing... It seems to DO, on it's own, as Ben can summon, but not control, yet it seems manufactured, and has limits...

Jacob asks Locke for "Help" in their first meeting. Maybe the only way that Locke can help Jacob is by killing him and liberating him from the position he is carrying right now - Locke is substituting Jacob in every aspect.

I have 2 questions about the compos in lost :-
1- where is it from : since we know that John gave it to Richard to give it to his past self to give it to Past Richard to give it to him in the future and start the cycle again
2- when John asked for the compos in episode 15 Richard said that it's a little rusty so that means that Richard will give Past John a rusty compos and Past John will give Past Richard a rusty compos and Past Richard will give john a rusty compos and it will get rustier
