The Stratovarius version is cool, but after hearing this one I like the overall arrangement better including the way that the background vocals and solos are played. The Stratovarius version sold me, but then I found out about this one too. 5 stars...!!!

I know this group is called a power metal band, but I think that that description doesn't really go far enough to cover their spectrum.

I hope that this band will one day come back on it's feet.With R.R. Timo continued what he did with Stratovarius, and was blamed for it.He kept writing songs he liked and was called a copy cat, when nobody realized that he was the one who wrote all the songs for Stratovarius.With R.R. he made, in worst case scenario, just as good music as he did with Stratovarius.Today, Stratovarius is getting money off his work, and he is struggling to live a normal life. Shame that a "cover band" has to win...

Before Tolkki's exit from the band and the formation of Revolution Renaissance, Stratovarius recorded a demo of this album. Onwards Tolkki left the band and released this album with session musicians, Kiske, Sammet and Pasi

That sounds like "It's A Sin" by Pet Shop Boys.. Gamma Ray already did a cover of them, hence all feelings of "that sounds familiar, but I don't know where from.."

Anyway, Tolkki's work makes any song shine at least a bit above modern "music". I had the pleasure of meeting him, he's not the egocentric maniac everybody's talking about - he's a great, down-to-earth guy. Continue to amaze us, Timo !

Polaris isn't Strato... Its a mere image of what Strato was and any fan would know this. Strato albums are always the older ones such as Episode, Elements, Destiny and Infinite.
