When I used to live in Dallas I remember the kids would talk about Jeremy during school. Ofcourse, I was too young to know who he was. But now I look back and I'm really shocked because my friends got in trouble talking about him. They weren't talking negative or insulting him in anyway. I'm a big believer in freedom of speech and now just looking back puts a sense of shock in me.. Just thought I would share that,
@PhasmatisSermo. Thank you for your reply! I totally agree with you about Mental Illness being nothing to be ashamed of! I`ve suffered years with depression and bi-polarity, but i have always had the love and support of my family and friends, which makes it a lot easier to cope with! Some people aren`t so fortunate though! I find it sad that no-one wants to talk about Jeremy, but thanx to kind people like yourself, he will never be forgotten! R.I.P. Jeremy!
Hi! I live in England, and i read about Jeremy after hearing the Pearl Jam song, years ago! Such a tragic waste of a young life! I study Criminology and Psychology, and would like to know if there have been any books written about him? Any information would be appreciated! Thank you!
@swazgoth his family don't talk about it or even reply to any contact made to them. his school have removed all evidence of him ever being there. today, people who have suicide in the family usually share the life experiences to help others, but certain biblical states in the US still see suicide as a sin, and something to be ashamed of, MENTAL ILLNESS is nothing to be a shamed of. Its a disability just like any other disability.
RIP Jeremy, you will forever be young. So bad he gave up his life at the age of 16.

@PhasmatisSermo Have you ever contacted the school, or his parents about it? Or visited his grave again?

Where is his grave in Restland? I drive by there all the time and would like to see what's there now.

That would be interesting if they were burying his mom or dad....it would of been weirder to be digging him up.
