The last music I ever bought was this. The mono box set. I still compare between stereo and mono from time to time, but feel that mono on an iPod beats the stereo version.
Only Help and Rubber Soul were remixed by George Martin. None of the other 1987 cds were remixed. You don't have to be connected with the sessions to make a cd sound good. The remastered cds sound better than the old cds ever did. Vinyl always has and always will sound like crap.

They kept quiet the fact that they had not used noise elimination. The 2009 mixes were by people not even connected with the sessions. I like the Beach Boys re-issues because they did not remix, they lifted some of the noise out and the texture of the analogue mix is still there. The Beatles 2009 re-issue throws part of the process, the mix, in the bin.

They screwed it up, what they should have done is after remastering the mono versions, convert these to Stereo quality, not a update on the 1987 discs that had medicore audio quality.
the stereo CDs ALSO should've come with plastic inner bags, so they wouldn't get scratched that easily when you put them back to their cases or remove them from their cases. I own both boxes. YAY!

only a true audiophile will tell you that these remasters are by far the worst remasters ever concluded. if you want full superior stereo stick with the capitol albums box sets vol 1 and 2 of the mfsl vinyl LPs
I believe only the mono set is a limited edition (10,000). Unless the remastered albums are discontinued for some reason, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

The Mono Box includes the original Lp Tracks, first time remastered on Cd, which might be the reason for the high price. its a small difference, but its not the same.

I give rappers credit for creating rhythmic rhymes, which does take a modicum of tallent an intellect (that is if they write it themselves - if a pro writes it for them then all bets are off, they're useless). Beyond that, rap is useless and not music. It stops being music when you have no chords, chord changes, or key changes.
