Well if you're not into apps and games then deffinitely get the Zune hd. it's oled screen is amazing and it is awesome watching video on it and it also has radio but theres no external speakers though.

yeh. but which version of the P2 were you comparing the price of? ipod touch has an 8GB model which is its lowest price. prob compared to the P2s lowest price model at only 1GB. ipod touch has a text reader also. can you browse the web on yours? download multiple songs without having to have a friend withen a 2 meter range? install countless themes on the go. install thousands of games on the go also. not to mention withen a matter of seconds. you see which one more people would prefer.

Samjtm: $50 difference (my mistake) between the 8gb versions of both. I don't want to browse the web on mine. I find my laptop and helio ocean + data plan sufficient for this purpose. People discredit the p2 without knowing what it's about, as you did when you called it a "touch" knock-off, and thus I stand up for it. You want to use the internet on your mp3 player, and I want to listen to high quality sound on mine. Obviously, people's preferences will differ. A knock-off though? I think not.

I got this unit for my brother. Screen is gorgeous. But you need to convert all the video files to specific formats, resolution and bitrate... VERY VERY ANNOYING

Their software is crap too. Looks like a media player with 1000 less features.

Scrolling thru menus is not very responsive, and impossible for those with larger fingers.

Overall rating, I give it a 3/10 (3 points for crisp screen. That's it. Its a mediocre product)

and no, no plan. it doesnt have internet acces, but instead has bluetooth capability. i use mine to connect to my phone while im driving, and i can plug the P2 into my truck stereo. voice come out of the speakers, built in mic works great!

also, when updating the firmware, you may have to mess around a little bit. i had to copy my update file to my desktop before copying and pasting into the root directory(the first folder on the p2's hard drive)

price of the touch is expensive compared to the p2. $280 to $200 for 8 gbs model. The iPod is way over priced and overrated but it does have some things that the p2 doesn't. But overall, the P2 seems worth it since it's like around a third of the price of the touch.
