usually you can getn same effect if you remove cap crom your gas burner

unfortunaterly flame usually becomes unstable and noisy.

however gas usage decreases and waters boils significantly faster if you can bear that terrible noise.

also flame is very hot, ir melts glass or copper quite easily, if you need to melt glss or coper just remove cap from your gas burner

p.s. not ll burners can be transformed this way.

Does it burn more or less gas? I guess my question is... for whatever temperature, are you burning more gas? Is this a little more efficient, or just a clever way of being able to burn more?
