  • I love this song so much...it describes things in my life so much....im glad my cousin introduced me to this bad!

  • i fuckin' love this song!!!

  • I'd like to think that this is love

lost in second chances without end

    best lyric ever

  • i saw them in 7th grade when i wasn't too familiar with them, and their merch guy gave me this cd for free when i realized i didn't have enough money. loved them ever since.

  • @nintycigarettes Same here. I kind of liked that version better. But can't find it. hahaha.

  • Probably my favorite metalcore song.... period.

  • This song is so amazingly beautiful, and easily my favorite song off the album.

I just hate the fact that their songs are so hard to play on guitar!!!!!

    > : (

  • @xanryoka They sound reaaaaally hard. They have rhythm but the melody is seems really discordant.

  • Of course I discover these guys a year after they broke up. Glad I found them though. this song is my favorite, so melodic

  • The song titled just The Nothing That Kills is from their 2003 EP. This is Of Want and Misery: The Nothing That Kills.

  • May As Cities Burn Rest In Peace and never be forgotten an amazing band I sure am going to miss them.

  • Song gives me such fucking chills. I know what it is like to watch someone hurt themself and to feel helpless and answerless in regards to how to help.

  • This music is really helping me right now.

  • really good song. first tie im hearing about this band Glad i decided to check it out.

  • Yeah it was on there demo I think it was just called the nothing that kills and was a little different. I might be wrong about the name though. But my friend got the demo from them before Son I Loved You at Your Darkest came out and gave it to me. The band just had blank cd's spray painted ACB on the front haha. Such a crazy good song man.

  • There is a different version, i have it on my ipod. The version i have doesnt have the intro from 0:00-1:00. Also during the calm breakdown? (not sure what the exact name for that part of the song is called) from 3:43-4:55, instead of the piano playing in the background there is a calming guitar playing in the background. I listen to this song every day, soothes me for some reason lol.

  • @DominikKressmann he doesnt?

  • such a good song!! aw man!

  • I think that if more metalcore bands would play something other than open chords and simple breakdowns people would respect it more. But I guess that's what made ACB such a phenomenon... They had originality.

  • I'd like to think that this is love; lost in second chances without end.

  • favorite song of all time :)

  • Apparently I never read through the lyrics, because I've owned this album for ages and I just NOW noticed how incredibly moving it is. I'm almost in tears. Almost. I'm a man after all.

  • Such a passionate song, can't help but scream along in the "heavier" parts, even though this isn't a particularly heavy band. :P

Amazing lyrics, you can really tell that they believe what they're saying.

  • This band has maybe some of the best guitar work I have ever heard.

  • i knoe this song but this doesn't sound the same as i remember it is there another version of it?

  • This is the version from the album they released, and I have never heard a different version of it. I'd love to hear a different version of it though, this song rocks.

  • The Other Version Is Missing The Beginning And Is A lot more Rough. "The Nothing That Kills."

  • @ktisistoukuriou There's a version from their EP. I found a few of the songs on P2P a long time ago.

  • @ktisistoukuriou the ep version is called 'The nothing that kills" and can be found elsewhere on youtube

  • @harve6 there is a diff version i heard it too

  • @harve6 there is a different version simply called 'the nothing that kills' on their 2003 ep

  • @harve6 There is another version of this song. Its an early demo of this song. I'm not too sure where to find it. My friend had that version but he said he got it off limewire a while back.

  • @harve6 Orginally before the album there was another song simply called "The Nothing that Kills", that might be what you are thinking of.

  • @harve6 i hear ya i have the different version on my fone this version i like better :)

  • @harve6 you probably heard the demo version

  • @harve6 Yes this is the album version. They had a version on a little known demo or EP that was out before this and the song was a little different and just called The Nothing That Kills.

  • UR NOT FUCKIN REAL!

  • lmao "UR NOT FUCKIN REAL!" best comeback i've seen in awhile.

  • He's not? >.> But I just had a long two way conversation with him.

  • he's there man and that sucks you can't see it

  • FAGS

  • Best song ever

  • i cant save you, but i will love you.

  • NO! out of all bands this one and (life in your way) are on my top list for bands i want to come back

  • basically anyone who doesnt like this band is deaf or dumb, because the guitar work is simply amazing and heavy in this whole first album, every song is huge. tj was awesome. but cody was amazing and really pulled through for the later albums.

  • this band is amazing

  • Best song from the band.

  • one of the best albums what ever made....

  • its to bad not a lot of people listen to the because there AMAZING!!!

  • This and Empire are their 2 best songs. I don't really care for the rest of their work. No offense to them, I jsut feel like they are right on the border of Hard rock, and Rock... and I am not much of a fan of either genre, I am into more heavier stuff; but they do have decent ideas, I give them that.

  • have you listened to their whole first album? "son, i loved you at your darkest" that's pretty heavy. especially compared to their other two albums.

  • haha yeah I was talking to my brother about these guys recently. I said "They are a Metal wanna-be band." and he told me to check out there first album. It is a legit Metal album.

  • yeah. it's really good stuff. glad you enjoy it.

i still love their other stuff, but it's a lot softer than "son, i loved you at your darkest" is so heavy and so good. :)

  • @SeaJayRiley

    wtf lol.

    not metal..

  • haha. I was saying that was his response. I never agreed it was metal... haha.

  • @SeaJayRiley Im not sure why ur comment got so many thumbs down...

  • @MySuicideValentines

Yeah, I don't know why either. Haha. Eh, don't matter though, my opinion still stands.

  • too bad they're breaking up once their new album hell or high water releases. im glad i got to c them 2 years ago though =] one of the best bands.

  • Ohhnoooo!

    i didn't know that.

    GASP

  • well thats cool too. gotta get family time n stuff....hope they come back in a few years i've never got to see them live
